NUMBER THREE was a liar; nothing but a filthy little fraud. She had become so practiced in the said art that she managed to orchestrate a picture-perfect life built on an almost infinite amount of lies.

Number Three lived off of sweet and hypnotizing words, but unlike your typical ruse, Allison Hargreeves had the power to turn those lies into the truth—

Or perhaps it would be more appropriate to say that she was spinning reality into one big lie.

It was a gratifying superpower that always gave her the best of the best, the most out of everything and she cannot imagine a world without it.

It's for that reason that among all the members of the Umbrella Academy, she had been the luckiest one.

Like Number Eight, Allison Hargreeves had grown up witnessing the power of mere words. Like Number Nine, she had learned the value of telling people about things they wanted to hear.

But, unlike either of her sisters, she knew how to put her best interest first. It was the defining point that set them apart.

It's not necessarily a bad thing.

In her defense, her rumors were partially at fault. If Vanya had the same ability, the seventh had sworn to make the most out of it after having lived her life without one.

It was an act of self-preservation. Allison had claimed that anyone else in her position would do the same thing. After all their personalities were warped by their powers.

Unlike Eight and Nine, who had always strived to serve their family to a self-destructive degree, Allison knew how to take care of herself.

She has to. Otherwise, no one else would—

Because unlike everyone else, Number Three was the only one who can make her fantasies a reality and they have grown used to that fact.

She was raised to make the most of her power for it was a gift— a privilege of the extraordinary.

She can get anything she wants so she stops at nothing to get her way.

In the first place, why does she have to tone herself down and hold herself back just because she can have what everyone else can't?
