John blinked, feeling the light leave. He noticed he was in a room with Alexander Hamilton, his best friend. There was a baby crib near him, and he felt a wave of jealousy wash over him. Shaking the feeling off, he looked closer at the crib. Inside was a pillow and a blanket. Not much else. Then he heard a baby's laugh. He turned his head in the direction of the child, which was looking straight at him, with an arm extended out to him.

Alex look at the baby, picked him up, and carried him all the way to the crib.

Alex decided to start singing a lullaby. He had been working on writing it for ages.

"Oh, Phillip, when you smile I am undone... my son."

Phillip. The was the child's name.

"Look at my son. Pride is not the word I'm looking for, there is so much more inside me now..."

John smiled. He used to write songs with Alex and the rest of their friends as a fun past-time.

"Oh, Phillip, you outshine the morning sun, my son."

Phillip giggled and held his hands out to Alex.

Alex picked him up again, swaying him a little. "When you smile, I fall apart. And... I thought I was so smart."

"My father wasn't around..."

Phillip's eyes started to close.

"I swear that I'll be around, for you.."

"I'll do whatever it takes, I'll make the world safe and sound for you..."

Phillip was asleep.

"...will come of age with our young nation, I'll bleed and fight for you, I'll make it right for you."

Alexander put the baby down in his crib.

"And if we lay a strong enough foundation..."

Hamilton started zoning out, with his eyes looking toward John.

"I'll pass it on to you, I'll give the world to you and you'll blow us all away..."

Alex fixed his eyes on Phillip again.

"Someday, someday.... yeah you'll blow us all away."

Eliza walked in the room with a letter in her hands.

"Someday... someday...."
