Kihyun was extremely disappointed for the rest of the day. He wanted to return Hyunwoo the favor and do something nice for him as well, but ended up messing it up like he always did. However, he wasn't the only one feeling that way: He served as therapist for about four other customers who were crying so loud they disturbed the other people inside.

Just another regular day at work.

Cooking was supposed to relax him and he had taken for granted that being the boss was fun. But the only thing work did for him was knacker him. He not only had to deal with his problems, he was also expected to console everyone and that wasn't fair.

"This was one more than yesterday... This place is cursed for sure." Kihyun muttered as he curled on top of his chair, diverting his eyes from Heejin's. "Or your food is so good it serves as comfort food! Try being a bit more positive, Kihyun." The girl said before bowing and leaving his office, letting her hair down from the uncomfortably tight bun she had. It was a tiring day for her as well.

How was he supposed to stay positive when everything surrounding was so negative? He started the restaurant to forget about how harsh his life was outside his little cooking world, but right now he felt unsafe everywhere. Even at home.

Kihyun sighed deeply before leaving his office as well, locking it behind him and looking around, making sure everything was in place.

When he was satisfied, the small chef left the restaurant, praying he wouldn't fall asleep inside the bus that day again. Nonetheless, he didn't have to pray any longer when he saw a familiar car parked in front of the restaurant, and inside it was a man Kihyun wanted, but wasn't expecting to see.

Hyunwoo was asleep inside the car, but whan he heard the restaurant door closing, he rose his head and smiled as he recognized the smaller man leaving the building. He checked himself on the window as subtly as possible before rolling it down, his eyes immediately setting on Kihyun's surprised smile. "Hop inside!"

He didn't have to say that twice. Kihyun immediately got into the passenger's side, making himself comfortable as he smiled at Hyunwoo who smiled back. "How long have you been out here for?" Kihyun asked faintly with a hint of guilt in his voice. "Not much. I asked one of the waiters when your shift ended, so I came when I saw fit."

Was God finally accepting Kihyun as his son? Because he had been sent an angel, the light amidst the darkness. Hyunwoo was just too good to be true. "Though I think another guy was thinking the same as me." Hyunwoo mumbled as he started driving, vivdly remembering where Kihyun lived.

Kihyun frowned in confusion as the other's words. "Huh?" Another guy? But he didn't have time to have friends, who in their sane state of mind would wait for Kihyun out of all people? "He was huge. Big muscles and he said his name was Hoseok. I told him I had offered to take you first just in case he was dangerous."

Hyunwoo was yet again protecting him when he didn't have to. But that description seemed a little familiar: The customer he had served before had big muscles too, though he didn't know if his name was Hoseok or not. Anyway, thank God Hyunwoo was there to take care of him.

"I didn't know you ran a restaurant, especially one with such good dishes! Heejin told me you work very hard." The man said with a sly smirk, as if cooking were the most attractive thing ever. "Do you know Heejin?" Kihyun arched an eyebrow and Hyunwoo shook his head. "Not really, I met her today."

An extrovert

The smallest of the duo nodded slowly and turned to the front, smiling softly as he realized how nice riding was this late at night. No crying babies or loud people inside the vehicle, just him and a man who he had strangely came to trust. "Hey Hyunwoo." Kihyun whispered as he looked back at the other male who hummed softly as a reply. "Do you mind taking a bit longer today? Maybe take the long road."

Hyunwoo chuckled before yawning and Kihyun felr immediately bad. He was evidently tired after a long day and Kihyun was being too demanding. "Why not?" Hyunwoo smiled as he turned the radio off.

The chef then grasped the importace of relaxing and talking to people. Not everything had to be work, not everyone was a bad person. He was not alone in this. Maybe he hadn't known Hyunwoo for long, but the fact that he was giving up precious sleepingtime to make sure Kihyun got homse safely spoke volumes of what kind of person Hyunwoo really was.

The man drove smoothly at a constant speed through a few parks and quiet neighborhoods before stopping in front of Kihyun's home, smiling softly as he shook the nearly sleeping man awake. "I don't mind you sleeping in my car for a bit longer, but I bet your bed is way more comfortable." Hyunwoo chuckled as Kihyun rubbed his eyes.

"Thank you... If you by any chance stop by the restaurant, tell Heejin your bill is on me." Kihyun said before stepping out of the car and waving at Shownu, who stayed inside, not moving until he made sure the guy was inside and safe.

Once Kihyun stepped inside his apartment, he lay down face-down on the couch, squealing like a fangirl at the events that had unfolded just a few minutes prior. No one had ever shown that much care for him and he had now come to realize that it had been his weakness all along. Maybe he was being delusional when he thought that perhaps Hyunwoo liked him the way he had fallen for the latter.

But he didn't care one bit. He was being nice and Kihyun appreciated it whether it was fake or not, though he doubted it was. What if life was actually more colorful than what Kihyun had made it out to be?

That night, Kihyun slept like a baby which caused him to wake up a bit later than usual the next morning. What really surprised was not that he wasn't on time that day, what worried him was that he was way too relaxed about it.

It was his restaurant anyway, he could open it when he wanted to. When he arrived all of his staff were outside the building, worry drawn all over their faces when they saw Kihyun walking up towards them. "Boss, if you feel ill you don't need to work today, we can cover you." Heejin said to which Kihyun cringed.

"I'm not ill, I just overselpt." He said sternly as he opened the restarant door, letting everyone inside. It wasn't time to officially open the restaurant for the day, but he saw a car coming up to him and parking itself in front of the workplace.

It didn't look like Hyunwoo's car, so whose was it? Suddenly, the same buff man he had served the day before stepped out and walked quickly towards Kihyun, grabbing his sweaty hands from the nerves and looking him deep into his eyes. He didn't seem to care about his trembling figure or his sweat-coated forehead, he just stood way too close for comfort before speaking the words that had always scared the small chef.

"I think I'm madly in love with you."
