4# Bonus chapter: Brandon and Boru

Brandon's pov. :

,,I'm not ready!,, Voltiaere and William pull you back from your escape attempt.

,,You'll be fine,, Volt stated with a smirk.

,,That's what I told you at them time and I now know it is not helping,, he chuckles at your fear.

,,Now you know how I felt, but seriously what are you worried about? You've planned this for four and a half months now. What could go wrong?,, you glared at your smirking brother.

,,I will tell Y/n that I cancelled my proposal plan just because of you,, his eyes go wide and shakes his head. ,,Thought so,, you take a deep breath trying to calm your nerves.

Ever since Y/n has figured out how to be a vampire, her confidence has skyrocketed. Only with people with who she is comfortable with though.

You sigh as you look at the box in your hand. ,,I agree with Voltiaere though, you will be fine. I am sure Boru will love it,, you look at the two boys.

,,Ok,, was the only thing you could say. You put the box in your pocket and head out of your room, leaving Voltiaere and William behind *Not that they're any help anyway*.

You knock on his door and it opens, but it was not Boru in front of you. ,,He's not fully dressed yet,, you walk in and Y/n makes you wait at the door.

,,Take your time Boru, there's no rush,, you say slightly louder so he can hear.

,,Easy for you to say! You're the one dressed and ready!,, you chuckle at the irony and sit down to wait for him.

Y/n leaves you two, giving you a pat on the shoulder for reassurance. After about 10 minutes Boru finally comes out in your favourite outfit. You walk up to him and wrap your arms around his waist. ,,Why are you pouting?,, you ask kissing his nose.

,,You're not telling me why this date is so important. It's making me nervous,, you hug him for your reassurance.

,,It's nothing bad. I thought it would be nice again to have a surprise date, like we used to have. If you're not comfortable, we can still stay in and do this another time?,, you feel him shake his head.

,,It's okay, I trust you,, he says pulling back and smiling at you. It happily reminded you why you were doing this.

You take his hand and you both leave for your date. The whole time you were nervous, but just seeing Boru enjoy it slightly calmed you down. You both went out in the human town to dine at a fancy restaurant and took an open carriage back to the house. While on your way back you were stargazing and cuddling since Boru became cold.

The carriage slowed down before stopping and you thanked the coachmen. ,,What are we doing here? We are not at the house yet,, Boru asked quietly.

,,C'mon, I want to show you something,, you lead him through a field and a few trees in a forest. You both stop at an open clearing.

,,Why are we here?,, he asked with a shaky voice.

,,This is where I and Alex met,, he chuckles and sadly looks around.

You get a bad feeling about it ,,Do you know this place?,,.

He nods and you let him take his time to answer why. ,,This is where....Carla was found dead,,.

Your heart completely stops. ,,We can go, if you-/,, he shakes his head.

,,For a very long time I didn't believe in fate. I thought the world was a cruel place one had to survive in. When I met Carla, I knew I loved her, but it felt forced in some kind of way. When I lost her, I still felt my heart being ripped out and I still am sad about it to this day, but I am over it. If I were to ever lose you, I.....I don't think I ever would be able to work through that,, he sniffles a bit and you realise he's crying.

,,Hey, it's okay. I'm going nowhere,, you pull him in for a hug. ,,It's funny, how fate always brought us together. Remember the first time we actually met?,, he cringes trying to disappear in your chest. ,,Specifically, what you wore?,, you tease.

He whines like a child and you chuckle. ,,My rank wasn't known at the time. My father tried so hard to make me into a pure-blooded alpha, but in the end I just was meant to be a beta,, you worry at his change of tone, but he looks up and smiles. ,,Though I am kind of happy about being a beta now, that I am with you. Means I wear the actual trousers in this relationship,, you smirk as your hand on his waist lowers.

,,Are you sure about that?,, you ask lowering your tone.

What you didn't expect, was the sharp pain in your neck and you realise he has you in some sort of hold ,,It's definitely me,,.

He applies more pressure. ,,Ow! Ok, it's you! It's you!,, he let's go and giggles at his victory. You both go back to hugging each other as before. You look in his eyes and decide to just suddenly throw it all out of the window. ,,Marry me?,, you just blatantly say.

,,What!?,, he asked in shock and common sense hit you like a truck.

,,I- uh...sh*t! I'm sorry, I had everything planned and this place was supposed to be special, but then you told me about Clara and I thought maybe bringing you here where I met Alex wasn't such a good idea-/,, he stopped your rambling by kissing you.

,,I never thought I'd actually be able to see you nervous,, he giggles. ,,Are you proposing to me just, because Y/n and Voltiaere's wedding is in a week?,, this time it was your turn to be confused.

,,Why would that have any correlation with me wanting to spend the rest of my life with you?,, he sighs and tries to pull back, but you don't let him. ,,C'mon, we said no more running from issues. This is how we ended up fighting all the time. Talk to me, please,, he hesitates a bit.

,,We're our second chance soulmate. We fought for a very long time. Do you...Are you sure you want to live with me? I mean, look at us now! You are proposing and I want to be with you, but I also don't think it's a good idea,, he says.

,,Why?,, you ask.

,,Because it's me! I'm scared I'll do something horrible and you'll still stay by my side. I- I can't do that to you!,, he starts to hyperventilate and you try to calm him down.

,,Hey, look at me!,, he looks up and you couldn't help but still find him cute. ,,Even so, we will get through it. I am just as terrified as you. When I first figured out that you were my soulmate, I honestly denied it at first just in case my father would find out. I didn't want to put you through the same thing Alex had, especially knowing how your own father treated you. I want to marry, because I know I love you for you. Even before we were soulmates I liked your attitude. Yes, if something horrible were to happen I still would stay by your side, but you'd do just the same and that is why I want to marry you. So please, will you marry me?,, you wiped away his tear stains.

Though, you start to cry as he nods. ,,Yes, I will marry you,, you shout in happiness as you pick him up and kiss him with all your love.
