Divilian Mists, The Dreaming City...
3rd POV:
Asher: "Oh..."
Mara: "Petra, where is the egg?!" She practically screamed into the radio.
Petra: "I-I don't know my Queen." She said timidly.
Mara: "Find it, that egg is the last hope we have!" The radio went silent and Petra looked around, dazed.
Paige: "We... we need a plan. River what's the plan?"
She looked shell shocked. Her eye's were glued to the Pyramid Ship that darkened the dreary sky.
Paige: "River, what's the plan?!"
She flinched and looked around like a scared child.
River: "I... well we... I don't know."
Dakota: "What the fuck do you mean 'I don't know?!" He stepped forward and yelled at her face.
Ford: "Dakota, calm the fuck down!"
Dakota: "Calm down?!" He asked incredulously.
Dakota: "The darkness has arrived, apparently there's an egg missing, and we don't have the firepower to repel a second attack!"
Luke-7: "Alright that's enough. Look, we need to get into the Confluence. If the darkness is going to be targeting anything it will be the Ley Lines."
Drake: "I agree. We are wasting our time out here. We need to regroup and defend the Conflu-"
A large explosion went off in front of them. A large Cabal Warship crashed into the ground and sent a shockwave that knocked them off of their feet.
Ford: "Christ, if we're doing this then we have to get there now!"
They summoned their Sparrow's and drove to the entrance. The Scorn and Taken still had the advantage in numbers, but after the commanders were slain they have grown reckless. The Sparrow's shot up the ramp and turned hardly into the large, wide-open door to where the Blind Well sat. They zoomed pass Awoken architecture and large, amethyst pools.
All of them knew someone or something awaited them. They harbored varying feelings of dread. Petra had failed her Queen and would never be forgiven. River was scared, scared she would lose more of the people she cared about. Paige was angry, he was determined to step up in River's place if she was too afraid. Dakota was panicked, perhaps his sins had finally caught up to him.
Ford didn't know what to think. His logical side told him that the ships shouldn't be here yet, but one sat above them. Drake felt regretful. All of his pride was vain and he had used it as an excuse to ignore the fear he felt in the face of such a powerful enemy. Asher had already figured out who had stolen the egg. His thoughts were tossed and turned in fury. Luke... he was intrigued.
A Taken Portal blocked their entrance into the Blind Well. They hopped off of their Sparrow's and examined the portal.
Paige: "We know how these things work. If we get split up then try to take whatever is on the other side out, as fast as you can. After that we need to get to the Watchtower. Our fleet won't last long against the ship."
Ford: "Sounds like a plan."
Asher: "Surprised your the one making it."
Paige laughed and walked towards the blight.
Paige: "Desperate measures I guess."
The rest of them joined Paige and drew their weapons.
Paige: "Everyone ready?"
