1. New year

A/N I wanted Rebecca to be Ashley Benson because it just seemed right but I hope you're happy with it too

"Rebecca wake up you're going to be late for school! If you don't get up I won't be able to drive you" my mum shouted from downstairs
I didn't bother to reply, just turned over and fell asleep again. The warm air was ripped away and replaced by cold air, above me stood my mother at five foot seven inches with her blond hair held in a tight bun and her grey suit held no crease, her laugh lines seemed to disappear as she watched me.
"UP! Now!" Her voice left no room for argument so I internally groaned as I stood up and made my way to the bath room
"Fifteen minutes to get ready Becca that's all I'm giving you. I've got a meeting today"
"Yeah okay" I got in the bathroom and stripped quickly, entered the bath and had the fastest shower ever. Once out I observed my body in the bathroom mirror, Laura said that I was beautiful with my bright grey eyes and small nose with pink full rosebud lips, my hair was a mix of blond and a bit of brown/red it was short and curly. I didn't see it. My waist had dipped in quite a bit and my hips widened out, my best friend Laura would say I had a body to die for but I usually just hide it in baggy clothes.
"REBECCA!" My mum shouted jerking me out of my reverie.
I quickly got changed into some ripped jeans that hung off my hips and a white baggy sweater and some black superstars grabbed my leather jacket and bag and left my bedroom.
"I'm here I'm here, let's go-
"You haven't had breakfast yet and-
"Mum we're going to be late if we don't go now" I said heading towards the door
"And who's fault is that then" mum said grabbing the keys to the car
I couldn't wait to get my drivers licence. I'm 16 in three weeks and my dream vehicle is a motorbike, not a scooter, a black shiny bike!
I jumped out the car after giving my mum a kiss goodbye on the cheek and wishing her luck for her meeting.
I made my way towards my locker and
was attacked into a hug from behind that made me alert, I flipped the person over my shoulder with my knee pressed into their chest. I came face to face with Laura, I got off her and helped her up with an apology, I looked around to see if anyone saw but everyone else was either too busy talking about the new school year or excited to see their friends again after summer
"Wow! I haven't seen you all summer and that's how you greet me? Well I guess I know what you think about our friendship then! I come over here after not seeing you in like forever and you ATTACK me! Who does that?" Laura's American accent was still thick even after all the years spent in London, but that would be understandable after a summer back in the states.
"I said I was sorry! I didn't know it was you!" I stared at her eyes wide
"You knew it was me!who else would attack you with a hug? That's right me, don't worry though I've learnt my lesson" Laura huffed and turned away from me, I rolled my eyes at her behaviour and continued to put my things in my locker. 5-4-3-2-1
"So I'm not mad at you anymore, what did you do during the holidays"
"Nothing much really, gym, gym, gym and gym, oh did I mention I went to the gym?" Closing my locker and facing her, I had to look up because I was quite short at just five foot while she was a five foot six with long legs a Model would kill for.
"Bloody hell Becca, that's all you done in the holidays? Work out?" She looked at me like I was crazy "but then I guess it did do you good, I mean your more toned from all the time spent in the gym" she linked her arms with mine and we walked to our homeroom together.
"Whatever Laura, just because I want to be-
"Well if it isn't the fat and skinny!"
We turn around to find Kate Smith, the schools queen Bitch, and our favourite person(note the sarcasm)
"I would love to stay and chat but I've got to go see my boyfriend, you might know him Rebecca, Shaun, the guy that dumped you? Well it seems that he chose me just like everyone else does, guess they find me better, which by the way I am" with a smirk she turns round and struts away with her followers behind her laughing
"I really want to beat her up! What was the point of her even coming over here? She's just a stupid little-
"Laura! It doesn't matter okay? I'm Over Shaun, we broke up, If she wants the leftovers then fine, it's a new year so I'm turning over a new leaf and I'm going to do things differently, which means taking the high road when it comes the Queen bitch, no matter how hard it will be for me to keep my mouth closed. She's just not worth it." with that I spin around and walk into the class dragging Laura in with me.
