Otis Point of View
Ruby stormed of the campus with Liv and Anwar. And I felt more confused than ever. I do not know what happened to the SRE Class that made her furious to me like that. I need to follow them, where are they going? I need a bike. Unfortunately my bike is back at home as I was picked up by Ruby earlier. Eric. I need to find Eric to lend me his bike, if I am to follow them. Thankfully, Eric is just around the corner talking with Adam.
Otis: Eric, can I borrow your bike? I just needed to follow Ruby.
Eric: But how am I to go home later?
Adam: Don't worry I have you. Go on Otis, you can have Eric's bike.
Otis: I promised to have it back this evening. I'll just drop it off on you house later.
I stormed away with Eric's bike. I managed to trail Ruby's car with a distance that they cannot possibly see. They turned up on the road called Mayfield Road and stopped to a clinic where I was very familiar with. It was the same clinic Maeve had her operation last time. The memory seems fresh to me, but it was not the same like before. Before, I do not have Ruby, unlike today, which basically we are a couple who has just had their first exchange of I love yous last night.
I managed to hide in a bush across the street and observed them. Anwar, Liv and Ruby went inside without hesitation. I did manage to hear what Miss Sands was suggesting earlier. They are here to get an opinion of a sexual health professional. God, I hate Hope for having us this backward SRE Class.
After they went inside, I manage to wait in the benches outside of the clinic. The same benches I sat last time I waited for Maeve. But this time, it is only me. Last time there were a girl and a boy, who hands fliers to whoever goes inside the clinic. Without those two around, I felt lonely waiting there on the bench.
I waited there for about 30 minutes before I hear some footsteps nearing me. I look up and I saw her, crying. It was Ruby, but this time no fierceness or meanness in her face. Her expression lightened when she saw me. And she immediately ran to me and hugged me tightly.
We just hugged there for about a moment, when I finally had the courage to ask her what happened. She wants to say something but maybe her emotions overwhelmed her. So, we just sat there on the bench. I hear her sobbing but lesser compared to earlier. I reached out for her hand and just hold her tightly. We were just interrupted by Anwar and Liv who managed to secretly walked around us but really couldn't manage as there were only one way out. And it was on where we are.
Anwar: I believe you two can manage some alone time together. Let's go Liv.
As they were gone, Ruby straightened up and looked into my eyes.
Ruby: Otis, I was so happy to find you here. How did you know we were here?
Otis: I kind of follow you here, with Eric's bike.
I see her eyebrows arching up as if shocked by my actions. But I nod and a smile of relief and happiness fills through her eyes.
Ruby: If that's the case then.
Still smiling. Her tears are now nowhere to be found. I have to ask her.
