The General Fiction genre often includes books that straddle so many genres that it's hard to place them in any specific genre, or even two. The books in the General Fiction genre can be a combination of any three or more genres of fiction that cause them to be outside the limits and rules of those specific genres. Historical Fiction is a literary genre in which the plot takes place in a setting located in the past. In general, these two genres are harder to fill up, which is why we've combined them for these awards.
