Hello everyone!
*squints at time* It is technically 2/23, but I haven't gone to bed yet so we're going to say it's still the 22nd. The point is that it's been a while since you've had an update, which is why I'm typing this now.
It's been some time but we have finally published results for Fanfiction and Fantasy! We apologize for the delay and will send out reviews to non-winners as soon as we can. You've had to wait this long, another day or two won't hurt.
If you are in Romance, Chicklit, or Short Story, your results are coming. These awards have lasted much longer than we anticipated—I personally blame the time of year, being that these were our first awards not hosted in spring or summer—and that has changed things. All admins have other responsibilities we've had to deal with first; our priorities have changed. One admin (and there are only three of us) has gone on leave, which has slowed things down even more. But we will have all results done one of these days, promise!
That brings me to my next order of business: judges! We need judges for Chicklit and Short Story, as our current judges have unfortunately had to step down. Nothing has changed: you still need to have judging experience in order to apply. Please PM us if interested! The earlier we find a judge for one (or both) genres, the better.
We really appreciate your patience at this time. We understand how frustrating this has been (on both your side and ours) so giving us the time to take care of business has been great. Demanding that we publish results ASAP doesn't help anyone, and I'm happy to say the vast majority of you haven't done that. We are still in the thick of it, but we hope to be out soon.
