Present time

Over the months, Y/n had helped Andrias by providing him visions. They had spent quite a lot of time together because of her visions and from Andrias keeping her company, that they now considered each other to be good friends.

Y/n at first wasn't fond of Andrias using her to help him become the king but because of the offer he had made she didn't have much of a choice as there were no other alternatives that were better than what he had offered.

Eventually, she came to accept Andrias' way of becoming king. Though she reminded him now and then of how he was practically cheating in which he responded often that 'it's not.'

She hears from him about his brothers and how they were unfit to become king. His opinions were biased since she came to find out that he wasn't that fond of his brothers in the first place. Though she had to admit that she was curious to know whether his brothers were really like what he described.

Some days. Andrias would talk to Y/n about his day and how he felt his father's competition was going for him and his brothers. Y/n would talk about the different people she had met that had come to her mother's shop for readings and visions and the people back in her village.

Other times they would talk about more personal things in their lives, ultimately bringing the two closer together.

"Your brother is very much a ladies man isn't he," Y/n said as he stroked her hand through Andrias' locks as his head laid on her lap.

He had been telling her a story of how he tried to handle having multiple dates for a ball that was held at the palace.

"There were a few arguments when some of his dates had found out that they weren't the only woman he took to the ball. I don't know what he was thinking," Andrias added.

"You don't seem to like your brother's womanising ways even though it doesn't affect you much," she said.

"He stole a girl that I had loved from me a few years ago," he paused. "Her name was Adelia. She was a count's daughter. Very beautiful, kind, warm-hearted. I was enthralled. I would always try to leave lessons early so I could have more time to talk to her. I thought that she was just as interested in me as I was but I was wrong."

"What happened?"

"Adonis came and swept her off of her feet. At first, she wouldn't accept his public affections and I was rather pleased with that fact but it turned out that they were secretly meeting in private. She had soon started talking to me less and meeting up with Adonis publicly. He would show off to me that he had Adelia and not me which made me rather angry. However, as he did with all his previous ladies, he grew tired of her and discarded her.

She was upset for weeks about his abandonment. Not long after she and her father left the court and went back to their estate but seeing how Adonis stole her away from me and broke her heart soon after had me infuriated at him and his ways."

"That wasn't very kind of your brother. I wonder why he acts like that," Y/n pondered.

"I don't care. All I want is for him to realise that he should learn to commit to relationships rather than ruining them."

"Perhaps one day he will find someone he can commit to," Andrias hummed in reply.

"Let's talk about you," Andrias proposed.

"What about me?"

"Hmm. How did you and the duke meet?" he asked.

Y/n tensed a little at Andrias' question. "You know that I don't like talking about the duke," she said.
