Highschool DxD - On the Run

Prologue

The sky was dark as skies were lit by the moon and the stars. Down to the world below, a woman stood tall on the roof of one of the taller buildings in the small town known as Kuoh. She was surveying the area, specifically a humongous home compared to most others. Her eyes stayed focused on the building for quite some time.

???: "If only it were easy enough to just go in and kill the boy. Those people cannot put up much of a fight against me, but when I release my power my presence here will be known. Plus, that boy could be able to put up quite the fight and get enough time for the backup to arrive to cause even more of a scene."

She began to pace around the roof in an effort to think of a solution to her problem.

???: "If I go in and kill the boy silently, someone could still spot me. Especially when there are quite a few people, some with abnormal senses. If I use too much of my power, that could be a dead giveaway for me, and lead all of those damn people to me because of the sudden power spike."

The woman began to get more frustrated as she tried to think of some way to kill her target without being seen or having any way of knowing it was a being like her that caused the death. She let out a sigh of frustration and put her hand to her temple. After a few more moments of silence, the cogwheels in her brain began to turn.

???: "If that boy needs to be killed without drawing suspicion to myself, I just need someone else to do it. They'd have to be someone that hates Max with a passion, but I don't know any. Many people love that kid..."

She stood still for a few moments until she finally figured it out and gave a smile of satisfaction.

???: "...unless....I don't even need to kill or find someone, I just need to manipulate them."

She then began to walk off the roof as she thought of her plan.

???: "I pin a crime onto him, he gets framed, boom! He'll get killed. It'd have to be something a bit serious though, something that'll result in death or him needing to run away. If he dies, I don't have to do anything else. If not, I'll deal with him when he is alone and not expecting it."

She then stopped as she started to think of something criminal enough to result in death.

???: "Something important being stolen or destroyed, murder, assault, rape, hmm, I think we have a winner. Rape is something serious if done to an important enough person, maybe one of his comrades. I can already see the look of betrayal and hatred. But I'll need a backup plan of sorts."

She stood still thinking of what happens next.

???: "If he doesn't die, I'll need to go eliminate him myself, but they may be led there due to both of our powers in the fight. I can't let any of them know a rouge one is in this world. And I must work fast, they may catch on that a boy has that kind of power and come here to get him before I kill him. If they get here before I kill him, I'm screwed."

She finally began moving again as the smile came back to her face.

???: "Well, I suppose I could just give anonymous tips to the people who want him dead. I simply hope that it will be that easy, but usually, it never is."

She walked off the roof and made her way to an abandoned home she was currently staying at.

???: "Need to give this plan a bit more thought, but it will all come together in one grand scheme. And that boy will die."

She made it to the abandoned home and dressed for bed. She lay on a mattress on the floor with a small blanket to cover her. As she lay in bed, she began to have her nightly thoughts.

???: "(Part of me truly wonders if doing these things is the right choice. I kinda want to leave, but with the thing they promised me, I simply cannot)."
