Loki was livid when he found out.
The man thrashed and fought, but eventually he was sedated and dragged off.
Now, dear Reader, you may be wondering why our beloved spy wanted her captive prince.
Of course, she had heard of how Odin treated him, and wanted to take him away from it, but she had other reasons as well. You see, years ago, Y/n had something important stolen from her. She had something very important stolen from her and she wanted it back.
Another thing you may be wondering is why she went as far as to "buy" the god instead of simply working with him.
Simple. Odin wouldn't have it. He didn't trust her and he didn't want to work with her. She had, however, become the new head of the group of people he trusted as his guard, and he had no other choice. She threatened to withdraw her troops if he didn't agree to her terms.
It was too late for negotiation.
When Loki woke up, he was in a comfortable cell, though he could still tell it was a prison made specifically for him. The walls were made of an odd energy field, and the floor had a pattern that he recognized as magic-cancelling technology.
He was livid. He stood, attempting to calm his spinning head before ripping the lavish covers off of the bed that was in the cell. The man threw the furniture around until he was so dizzy he nearly fell.
"Loki Laufeyson," A voice called.
A woman walked in front of the cell, dressed in a skin-tight combat suit with knee and elbow pads and combat boots. Her belt held multiple throwing knives and a sword. She had a bow and quiver strung across her back, and her h/c hair was tightly styled to stay out of her face.
Loki looked at her, heaving. In his anger, he charged the energy field, and was thrown back at great force.
The woman stood there, arms crossed as she waited for him to calm down.
"What would you like for dinner?" She eventually asked.
"I'd rather eat a venomous snake than anything you have to offer me," Loki spat, wiping his sweaty hair from his face.
"Then you may skip dinner tonight," Y/n said cooly, "In the meantime, I need to speak with you about why you're here. You see, you're extremely skilled. We both know that. However, I hate to have to keep you locked up like this, and hope we can become colleagues."
"You treat me as livestock. I am nothing but an object to you and you have the gaul to tell me that you wish to be my colleague?" Loki raised his voice.
"I know you're upset about this situation, but maybe you'll come around. I will be expecting you to eat breakfast tomorrow, and it will be delivered to you at seven. Get some rest, tomorrow we will work out your emotions."
With that, Y/n turned and left. Her steps resounded down the hallway for a solid few minutes before Loki knew for a fact she was gone.
He didn't want to sleep in the bed he was given, but he figured it wouldn't do him any harm. His body ached from his evidently rough trip to the... wherever he was. His soul ached with the loss of his beloved mother, and he longed more than anything to see her again; to tell her he loved her one more time. The man laid in the plush bed, wiping his eyes from moment to moment.
Loki's dreams were haunting. He dreamed of his mother, he dreamed of Thor, and of Midgard, and of Odin, and of Y/n's threatening stance. He dreamed of food, as he was starving, and of mead, and of captivity.
The man spent most of the night waking up and falling back asleep. It must have been some sick form of psychological torture set up by Y/n to force him to submit to whatever hellish plans she had for him to fulfill.
By the time seven in the morning rolled around, he was so incredibly exhausted that he nearly didn't notice a tray of food being slid through an automated hole in the energy field.
That was, until he was enveloped in an enticing smell that he couldn't ignore. Loki slumped out of the bed and nearly crawled towards the tray on the floor, being led by his heavily growling stomach. He grabbed it and took it to the small desk that sat in the corner of the room by his bed.
The food was simple, but plentiful. There was a few slices of toast, each with a spread of avocado and pieces of bacon on top, two eggs made easy over, and separate pieces of bacon on the side. There was a small bowl of oatmeal with strawberries on top, and a bowl of simple cereal with banana slices.
Loki looked around, checking to see if there was anybody around, before taking a bite out of the toast. His thoughts swirled with possibilities of being poisoned, but he brushed them all off, knowing that he'd rather be dead and full than starving and captive anyway.
The food was amazing, even Loki in all his anger had to admit. Y/n must have been extremely rich to have even just what Loki had seen of her... was this her home? Or simply a base? Loki didn't know, and he was was too tired and hungry to care.
He simply continued scarfing down his food, hating himself for giving in so easily.
Once Loki was done eating, he left the tray back where it had entered his cell, and climbed back into the bed. The poor man just wanted to be able to get some sleep.
What he didn't know was that Y/n was an avid mind reader, and knew the thoughts that plagued his ming over the last night. That, and she had made some accommodations in hopes of him joining her on her quest to retrieve what she wanted.
