We drove to the Williams house and went inside. 8:00 right on time. It was crowded with about 30 people. Husbands with their wife's, no kids here though. Young newlyweds.

"Welcome Dorian! Oh! This must be your fiancé, Sadie is it?" Said Mrs. William. This crow-headed bitch knows my name. I've been to her house like 50 times. It would've been 60 if their house didn't set on fire.

She's just being funny because she wanted her daughter Madeline to end up marrying Dorian.

"It's Sasha, Mrs. Williams," I said, trying my hardest to force a smile.

"Oh my apologies I forgot. It's just been so long since I've seen you. Since you and Madeline stopped being friends."

Madeline is like my arch enemy. You know that saying keep your friend close and your enemies closer? Well, I didn't listen and now I'm stuck here.

We were friends once best friends actually. When we were 12. But she kept talking about me behind my back. She made school a living hell for me.

"You were talking about me, mother?" Madeline says, walking in.

Here we fucking go...

"I was just talking to Dorian and Sasha here."

"Oh, I can't wait till the wedding. I always thought it'd be hard for Sasha to find a man. Y'know because of her big feet." Madeline said, smiling at Dorian.

She's always trying to one up me on something. Ugh, it's so stupid right? I just wish she would stop being such a bitch.

I rolled my eyes and ignored her. I tried to act like it didn't bother me but Dorian already noticed my reaction.

"I'll have you know that my Fiancé is the most beautiful woman in the world to me. She has no flaws. I'm lucky to have her in my life."

I smile wider than I ever had before. Madeline and Mrs. Williams looked shocked. They just nodded and walked off.

"Thank you Dorian."

"No problem Darling. I just had to put them in their place."

Even though I hate the Williams, their son isn't so bad. Luke is 24 and handsome. I saw him in the living room with some other boys.

He noticed me immediately. He seemed a bit nervous because of Dorian right behind me. I wanted to go to him but Dorian led me to Basil and Harry.

"Hello Basil, Hi Harry," Dorian greeted.

"Dorian! I'm glad you could make it. And it's a pleasure to see you Ms. Sinclair." Said Basil. I thanked him and looked at Henry. He just smiled and stared at Dorian.

I could tell that he didn't feel comfortable talking around me. The way he looked the day Dorian came in drunk was so vague but somehow I knew all along.

"If you excuse me I have to see an old friend." I said, walking off.

I went to the living room and went by Luke. He could clean himself up good but nothing compared to Dorian.

I always had a crush on him. Ever since I saw him. He has always been nice to me.

Probably because he hates the way his family treats me. Especially Madeline.

He's also the golden boy in town. He got accepted to a great college and is already finished. I would've applied but it's only men of course.

"Hi Luke!"

"Hello Sasha, I haven't seen you in forever. You look stunning!"

"Thank you Luke. And I know, I've just been busy."

"I heard you're getting married soon. To Dorian Gray?"

"Yes, he proposed a while ago. We're doing great."

At least when he's not fucking random women.

He looked down sadly and smiled. Drink came around and we both took one.

We talked most of the night. Mostly about Madeline. But also about each other.

"What happened to that beautiful blue dress you had? It was my favorite." Luke asked.

"Madeline pushed me into mud and it got ruined. Mother was never able to get it out."

"Oh, I know my sister can be a bitch."

"She wasn't always. She used to be nice."

"I think she compares herself to you too much. You were always the golden-girl."

"The golden girl?"

"You were always great at everything. A lot of women were jealous."

"Oh... I didn't know."

So Madeline. The girl who was the most popular was jealous of me?

I was going to talk but then I noticed my glass. It was empty. I drank the whole cup. It was strong wine.

It was affecting me like hell. I wasn't a drinker this is the most I ever drank.

I was getting giggly. Everything Luke said I laughed at. I was touching his shoulder. I didn't know why.

"Did I tell you that you look very striking tonight?"

"No, you didn't, but thank you Sasha." He chuckled.

"I've a-a-always l-liked you L-L-lukey!" I giggled.

"You have? I fancy you myself."

He then tried to pull in for a kiss but I stopped him. I couldn't hurt Dorian like that. It was wrong. I alway need to do the right thing.

"I'm sorry Luke, I'm marrying Dorian."

"What? Then break up with him. You love me and I want you to marry me."

"I- I don't know who I love. I love you both but..."

"Sasha I've known you since you were 12! Please, I love you."

"I'm sorry Luke," I apologized, getting up.

I ran to Dorian and grabbed his hand. He turned around straight away and gave me all his attention.

"What's the matter Darling?"

"I want to go home now Dorian, please."

"Of course Sasha,"

He said goodbye to Basil and Harry and we walked out. I held his hand until we got to the car.

"Thank you Dorian."

"No problem Darling, anything for you. But I have to ask what was the matter?"

"I don't wanna talk about it. Maybe later?"

"Okay, later it is."

We drove home and went inside. I followed him to our bedroom.

"I assume that you're here to get your clothes?" He questioned, looking very intrigued.

"No, I'm here to sleep. I forgive you Dorian."
