"Am I getting too close?" Allison asked, as she sat in the driver's seat of her car where she had been following the bus Scott and Stiles and the whole lacrosse team was in, going to whatever meeting they would be having in another city. "I'm getting too close, aren't I?"

"That depends..." Lydia mumbled, sarcastically as she sat in the passenger's seat. "Are you just following the bus, or are you planning on mounting it at some point?"

"Yeah, I should back off..." Allison nodded, slowing down her car a little, even if they were still just behind the bus, considering whatever road they were in didn't have more than one lane.

"Well, that also depends." Diana shrugged from the backseat where she had been reading one of her books for the entirety of the trip. "Do you mean the bus, or the ex-boyfriend you're currently stalking?"

At her question, Allison cut her eyes at Diana through the rearview mirror, only to sigh heavily when she realized the blonde hadn't even noticed it, too focused on her story to notice anything else around her.

"Well, after what happened, I'm not letting him out of my sight." Allison said, as Diana frowned, still unsure what had happened at all but having heard all about Scott's, apparently, very bad injury that he was still sustaining.

"Hum." She hummed, unconvinced.

"And, by the way, this all started when he came knocking at my door." Allison defended herself as Lydia turned to look at her.

"For what?" She asked, causing Allison to sigh.

"Tell me to stay away from the Alpha pack." She said, as Diana finally lifted her eyes up from her book to look at the brunette.

"Did you?" She asked, and, if they were to judge by the girl's silence, Lydia and Diana knew the answer to that question.

After that, the ride was quiet for a while. Diana had finished her third chapter in row when Lydia suddenly spoke up, not even looking up from her phone.

"So, is that whole not letting them out of your sight-thing literal, or more like a general rule...?" She asked, as Allison turned to look at her for a second.

"Why?"

"You're running on fumes." Lydia said, causing both Allison and Diana to peek at the control panel of Allison' car, only to notice that, as usual, Lydia was, in fact, correct.

"Ugh." She groaned as Lydia shrugged.

"Yeah..." She said. "And I'm pretty sure that bus holds a lot more gas than this Toyota."

"What if we stop?" Diana offered, thinking that was, in fact, the most reasonable solution. "We put some gas in the car, eat something and then go back to the road."

"We could." Lydia nodded, frowning at the way Allison turned to glare at the two of them. "Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, so we lose them. We know where they're headed."

"You didn't see what happened." Allison shook her head.

"I know who started it..." Lydia mumbled, causing Diana to raise an eyebrow at her sudden attitude.

"Is that what Aiden told you?" Allison asked, and the mention of the twin, Diana leaned to the side a little to take a look at Lydia who was sitting right in front of her.

"Aiden?" She asked, before gasping quietly as she turned to glare at Allison. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a second... Is that why you invited me on this whole road-trip-thing?"

When neither Allison or Diana responded, Lydia shook her head, offended.

"Oh, my gosh!" She said. "You're keeping an eye on me and them."
