"Here." Noshiko said, as she offered Stiles a cup of tea. "It'll calm you."
"What is it?" Stiles asked, as the woman frowned.
"Tea."
"What, like magic tea?"
"No... Chamomile tea." Noshiko said. "Drink it."
"He's not safe here." Ken Yukimura, Kira's father, said as Stiles and Kira sat in the Yukimura's sofa while the rest of the kids still stayed at the station, trying to give the cops a version of what had happened at Oak Creek that would make even just a little sense to them.
"He's not safe anywhere." Noshiko said.
"But Allison killed one of them. Doesn't that mean something?" Kira asked. "She killed an Oni."
"Is that even possible?" Ken frowned.
"I'm not sure how..." Noshiko shook her head.
"But she did it." Kira insisted. "She killed one of them."
"Yeah, and they killed her." Stiles mumbled, his eyes glued to the cup of tea in his hands as everyone turned to look at him with a sorrowful expressions. "Allison's dead, Diana is... Possessed by some dark thing inside of her and still with the Nogitsune... Now, I guess the only good thing is it looks like I'm dying, too."
"He made a powerful move by splitting the two of you." Noshiko said, as Kira sighed, taking notice of the way Stiles didn't even seem to care anymore that he did look like he was about to drop dead at any point.
"So what's our move?" She asked.
"At this point, you need a divine move." Ken said.
"What's that?" Stiles asked.
"In the game of Go, it's what we call a truly inspired, or out-of-the-box move." Noshiko explained. "The Nogitsune had the advantage until this point. What you need is a divine move to turn the game around."
"Okay..." Stiles mumbled, still a little unconvinced. "So, is anyone feeling divinely inspired?"
"Mom, you said you trapped it in a glass jar, right?" Kira said.
"It wasn't the jar that trapped it." Her mom corrected her. "It was where I buried it."
"The Nemeton..." Stiles said.
"A place I don't know too much about."
"Who does?" Kira asked, as Stiles lifted his head up to look at her.
"Deaton." He said. "Deaton does."
***
After a very brief phone call to explain what they had figured out from Noshiko, Scott and Lydia drove from the police station and straight toward the animal clinic to talk to Deaton.
"Stiles and Kira said it was the Nemeton that kept it trapped." Scott said, as the vet sighed.
"The problem is, this isn't even a person you're fighting..." He said. "It just looks like one. It's a spirit that's taken the shape of a human."
"The shape of my best friend." Scott mumbled.
"Someone caught it once." Lydia shook her head. "Someone can do it again, right?"
"I don't know..." Deaton admitted. "This thing was trapped a long time ago, before the Nemeton was cut down. It doesn't have the same power anymore."
