The Hayami Gang was well-known for a variety of reasons.

Yuudai Chimori and Ezume Nawa were 11 years old when they created Hayami in 1982. Yuudai came up with the name. He liked the meaning. Hayami, rare and unusual beauty. That was the perfect fit for them.

They had no real reason for making Hayami; they were just two delinquent kids with too much free time on their hands.

In the beginning, there was three divisions.

Hao Kichi led the first division, which was known as the special task force division.

Yabba Jay led the second division, which was known as the attack unit.

Ruagawa "Pain" Ai led the third division, which was known as the shadow unit.

Yuudai Chimori served as President, and Ezume Nawa served as Vice President.

The first year as a gang was lighthearted and enjoyable. They got into numerous brawls with people and never considered letting anyone else join the gang. The five of them handled themselves well and weren't taken seriously in the first place.

The following year, they decided to alter their fighting style. Their fists were always bruised and battered, and they were sick of it. As a result, they decided to rely on their kicks instead. They still have regrets about that decision. Not because they were bad at it, but because it made them stand out like a sore thumb.

In their third year, a student in Yuudai's class approached him and asked him to fight a gang that had been threatening them and in exchange he would pay The Hayami Gang. So Yuudai did just that. But when they didn't get their money, it was Hayami who threatened them. They really enjoyed it, the satisfaction of seeing people fear them. So they came up with an idea. They would, sort of, do favors for people in exchange for money.

The Hayami Gang grew in size during their fourth year. Some joined because they simply wanted to, others for protection, but the vast majority joined out of fear. Anyone who owed the Hayami gang money or favors had two choices. The first option was to repay them, while the second was to join the gang until they could repay them. Seems simple enough, doesn't it? Wrong. Hayami would raise the prices that each person owed them each week. ¥10 multiplied by ¥50 multiplied by ¥100 multiplied by ¥500. And before anyone knew it, they were hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

Their fifth year was a watershed moment for them. Someone had decided to put the Hayami gang to the test. When they heard that the gang would kill people if they didn't pay back their debt, they didn't take them seriously. So, what exactly did Yuudai do? He slaughtered them without hesitation. And he got away with it because the members in the Hayami gang were becoming fully committed to Yuudai, Ezume, Kichi, Jay, and Pain.

Yuudai had a child at the age of 16 in their seventh year. She was his pride and joy, and if she ever asked him to, he would burn the world down. Then an idea occurred to him. Anyone who owed the Hayami gang had to stay with the gang until their debt was paid. If they died before they could pay their debt or they had a child, their children were forced to join the gang when they reached the age of 11.

Some saw it as cruel, while others saw it as honorable. But, regardless of what they thought, these were the new rules, and they were going to follow them without question, no matter how much they despised them.

Yuudai had another child when he was 18 years old. His son was his entire world. And as he raised his two children, his gang grew. They not only brawled, but they also made illegal deals and killed people in order to rise to the top.

Yuudai had his last child when he was 21 years old. Another daughter, a true princess in his eyes, who was repeatedly spoiled by him. And as he raised his children, the money and reputation he earned from his gang grew.
