[11:30 am]

"I'm sure Takashi didn't forget, Hideyo."

Hideyo shrugged, moving a carrot piece around in her bento box with her chopsticks as she stared at the food with sadness. Her elbow was on the desk she shared with Masanori, and her chin and cheeks were nestled in the palm of her hand as she tilted her head to the side.

Masanori sighed and set his chopsticks atop his bento box. He'd been listening to Hideyo's crazy theory about Mitsuya forgetting their anniversary today because he hadn't texted her anything this morning, like he usually did.

"Did you text him?"

Hideyo nodded.

"And what did you say?"

"I asked him what he was doing today and he said 'nothing.'"

Genki sweat dropped.

She could have started off with that.

"If Mitsuya has the sewing club after school today you could always stop by." Masanori suggested. He picked up his chopsticks, using them to grab the sushi roll that was begging him to be picked up.

A sparkle flew across Hideyo's eyes at the suggestion.

Before Manasori could bite into the spicy tuna roll, the desk shook violently, causing Masanori to become startled and drop the roll from his chopsticks. Hideyo's face was now only inches away from his, her body leaned over the desk they sat at, and he was perplexed. The black-haired teen pouted as he stared at the spicy tuna roll that had fallen to the floor.

"Can you come with me to visit Takashi?"

"I don't think I should get involved with this."

"You won't be."

Masanori raised an eyebrow.

"I just need you to walk me there."

Masanori blinked repeatedly. He shook his head, the ends of his hair scratching the back of his neck due to the ponytail he was wearing. He pushed Hideyo's forehead away from him with the back of his chopsticks, causing her to sit back in her chair.

"Okay." He mumbled, leaning down in his seat to picking up the roll of the ground.

"Okay?" Hideyo repeated him, excitedly.

Masanori dropped the roll onto a napkin, ignoring the girl in front of him, whose mood had slightly improved.

"Eat." Masanori said, pointing with his chopsticks to Hideyo's untouched bento, waiting for her to bite into a piece of seared tuna before returning his attention to his lunch.

[4:13 pm]

Hideyo gently knocked on the door. As she waited for someone to open the door, the familiar feeling of anxiety crept up her stomach and into her throat.

Was she nervous? Absolutely.

Was she becoming slightly irritated at how long it was taking for someone to open the door? God, yes.

Hideyo stepped back to check the class number. The sound of her school shoes squeaking on the ground filled the school hallway. She was now second-guessing whether she was at the right class or not. She'd been there a few times, but the anxiety she was experiencing was making her overthink.

"Hide?"

Hideyo turned her head, her gaze rising to the tall pale boy standing next to her. His hair was bright red, and a few strands fell over his deep brown eyes, which stared at her softly. He admired the silver-haired girl with a soft smile on his lips.
