So we all know Immortal Children are illegal in the Twilight vampire world. Back in 1000 A.D. when it was declared illegal to turn anyone under the age of thirteen. And the Volturi started hunting down covens who had made immortal children. Including the Denali coven.
One Immortal child set out to save the others to train them. He's name was Ichijo, he was twelve and a tracker. He managed to save thirteen immortal children. He managed to train seven of them, but had to kill the others. To protect their coven. Over the centuries there have been others who made immortal children. He even made a few himself to save the children from death like Carlisle Cullen.
But a century and a half ago the Volturi finally tracked them down with the help of Demetri. Only one child was spared. Her name is Katie and she was seven when she was turn. She was a few days off from turning eight. When a nomad saw her and thought of his long lost daughter and wanted her back. She has the ability to create and control fire.
Anyway Katie survived, she was devastated when she returned home to see her coven dead. She wanted to kill the Volturi and make them pay for killing her only family. But she was smarter then that. So she chose to continue on Ichijo's legacy of saving others like her and turning kids close to death.
Over the last century and half though, no one turned children except for her. The first was Mikey who has the power of illusion. He makes them look human, allowing them to walk in the sunlight without exposing their kind. He was ten. Shortly after he turned they found out about the animal diet. They started it together and became best friends.
The second was Aimee, she was nine. Mikey found her dying after being assaulted by a couple of teenagers. He brought her to Katie who turned her. Aimee is a shield, like Bella. That happened forty five years ago. Since then the trio have been traveling the world together. Right now their in Forks Washington.
(November 17th 2005) Katie's POV
"God, what's taking Mikey so long? I'm sick of this cave" Aimee whines. As she paces.
"Oh grow up" I tell her as I lean against the wall.
"I can't grow up" she states smirking.
"None of us can" Mikey states as he joins us. "You won't believe what I found" he tells us smiling.
"What?" Aimee asks him intrigued.
"I'll show you, follow me" he says and takes off. We follow him. We soon reach a modern glass house.

"What is this place?" I ask him.
"An abandoned house, from what I've seen. No one has been here for a couple of months. Welcome to our new temporary home" he tells us.
"I call the room with the balcony" Aimee states.
"Not if I get there first" Mikey tells her.
"Enough you two" I tell them firmly. They turn to look at me. "Are you sure no one lives here?" I ask Mikey.
"Positive, according to word around town. It belonged to a family called the Cullens, they left two months ago without a word. No signs of them returning" he states.
"So can we stay here?" Aimee asks me hopeful. It's been a long time since we stayed in an actual house.
"For the time being yes" I agree reluctantly. "But I get the master bedroom" I add.
"Of course, you're our leader" Mikey states. We race back to the cave and get our things. Before going to back to the house. We settle down and join each other in the kitchen.
"Did your rooms have a bed?" Aimee asks us.
"Yeah, why?" we ask her.
"There isn't one mine, do you think the Cullen's were vampires?" she asks us.
"There's food in the fridge" Mikey tells her.
"Doesn't matter, this is our place now until we move on again" I tell them. "Now a few rules, no going anywhere without telling the others. No going onto the wolves land. No feeding on people and don't be seen doing anything supernatural" I tell them.
"Aye aye commander" Mikey says.
"Sure, whatever. Now lets party" Aimee says. She starts the music and they start to dance around. Enjoying our new temporary home. Though I still feel on edge. I don't want anything to happen to either of them. I'd die for them.
"What's wrong Katie?" Mikey asks me as Aimee gets lost in the music.
"What if this was a vampire coven's house?" I ask him. "What if they come back and find out what we are? What if they rat us out to the Volturi? I don't want to lose another family" I tell him.
"You won't" he assures me giving my hand a squeeze. "If they were a coven, they probably left because people noticed them not aging. So they probably won't be back for a century at least. We're safe" he tells me.
"You're right" I say taking a deep calming breath.
"Oi love birds, are we talking or dancing?" Aimee asks. I roll my eyes as Mikey chuckles.
"May I have this dance my lady?" Mikey asks me offering me his hand.
"Why of course you may" I say taking his hand. He pulls me to my feet and twirls me around. I laugh and we join Aimee dancing in the living room. Mikey grabs his phone and videos us. We run through the house and end up in my room. I look at the videos. "Look, this years Christmas card" I say showing a blurred photo of us. We all laugh.
"I love this house" Aimee declares.
"Lets have a movie marathon" Mikey suggests.
"Yes, the new Harry Potter movie comes out tomorrow. Lets watch the first three movies and read the six current books" I tell them. They agree and Mikey sets up the movie while Aimee gets buttered popcorn.
"What? We can't have a movie marathon without popcorn" she tells us. We agree and settle down on the couch as the first movie begins.
