(Late April 2006) Katie's POV

So we've been to Alaska and the Gold Coast. Both were amazing and we had a lot of fun. But I missed my brother and Alice. So did the others. So we've decided to make a temporary home in Portland. So that we can see them again. We found an abandoned tree house in the forest. On the border of Oregon and Washington. We fixed it up, just so we had a place to call home while we're here away from humans.

We're just waiting for this weeks call from Alice and Jasper. I'm sure Alice already knows we're here. But I hope she hasn't told Jasper, I want it to be a surprise for him. "Man it sucks not having electricity" Mikey grumbles.

"Maybe we could get a generator?" Aimee suggests.

"What good would that do us without lights or power points" Mikey tells her.

"Guys enough complaining" I tell them.

"Sorry Katie" they say bowing their heads.

"Are you ok?" Mikey asks me concerned.

"She misses Jazz, his call is late" Aimee says.

"He's never been late before" I state. Just then there's a knock on the door. We all freeze. I look at Mikey and he nods. Assuring me that his illusion is in place. I head for the door and open it. I freeze when I see the person on the other side. "Jazz!" I cry and launch myself into his arms.

"Alice!" the other two cheer hugging her. After hugging each other. We all sit down. Me is Jazz's lap, the other two sitting either side of Alice. As we all catch up telling each other about our lives sense last we meet.

(Cullen house) Third Persons POV

Edward arrives home after dropping Bella off at her house. She's still grounded. Alice left school early today and he doesn't know why. When he tried to look into her mind, it was fussy. Not blank like Bella's, but like there's a fog over her mind blocking his view.

He enters the house to see no sign of Jasper of Alice. Rosalie and Emmett are on the lounge watching TV. Esme sketching at a table. "Where's Alice and Jasper?" Edward asks.

"Weekend hunting trip" Esme states.

"Why didn't they invite anyone else?" he asks.

"Maybe wanted some alone time" Emmett states.

"Don't worry Edward, they can take care of themselves" Rosalie states. He nods and heads over to Esme. He sees she's designing a tree house.

"What's this?" he asks her curious.

"Something Alice asked me to design" she states.

"Why would Alice want this?" he asks confused.

"Don't know, but it is quite architect challenge" she states with a smile. "I'm quiet enjoying myself" she adds. Edward smiles as Carlisle returns. Carlisle greets his family as Edward goes to his piano. He starts to play it.

(Portland) Katie's POV

"Sounds like you all had a lot of fun" Alice states.

"We did" Aimee says nodding her head happily.

"Though Katie missed Jasper everyday" Mikey adds.

"I missed you too little sister" Jasper says squeezing me. I smile and snuggle into him more. Sighing in content. "So what do you all want to to do?" he asks.

"We could go hunting" Alice suggests.

"I'll catch the biggest prey" Mikey says.

"Not a chance Mikey, I will" Aimee tells him.

"Guys you're both wrong" I tell them.

"We are?" they ask confused.

"Yes, I'll be catching the biggest prey" I state.

"Winner chooses tonights game" Mikey states. We all agree. Alice and Jasper smiling at us. We all leave to hunt and I win by killing a bear. I decide on hide and go seek. Jasper was it. It kept us entertained most of the night. We then some fight training.

Before returning to the tree house to chill. "Can we go swimming?" Aimee asks.

"Of course we can" Alice states. "In fact, I have a gift for you all" she states. She disappears and reappears handing each a bag. Aimee and I squeal at the new bathers. We run off and change. Soon we're all in swim wear and race to the waterfall.

Jasper wins and we all jump in. We had an amazing time. Having a water fight, challenging each other on who could jump the highest out of the water. Without touching the bottom. Racing around the perimeter of the lake. Before laying on the dry earth looking up at the clouds. Making out shapes.

I wish we could stay like this forever. But we only had the weekend. Though Jasper and Alice promised to visit as often as possible. Considering we're just outside of the state they are in.
