Wolf Pack Killing a Nomad

(March 4th) Katie's POV

It's been nearly two weeks since we went to see Eight Below. We might be leaving soon. As we want to be in New Orleans for the French Quarter Fest. Which takes place between the 16th and 19th of April. But we'll get there early to celebrate Easter. We'll even stay there for the Jazz Fest.

Right now we are hunting and were heading for the meadow. When we smell and human and nomad together. Being the curious children we are. We go to investigate. Staying down wind of them so as not to be noticed by the vampire.

We stay in the trees and see the human is Bella. The nomad is a black vampire with red eyes. 'What do we do?' Mikey mouths to us girls.

'We have to help her' Aimee mouths.

'If we attack, we could die' I mouth back.

'There are three or us and one of him. We can take him' Mikey mouths.

'We wait for the opportune moment' I mouth to them. They nod their heads and we focus on the scene before us.

"Do the Cullens visit often?" the nomab asks Bella.

"Yeah absolutely, all the time" she lies. I roll my eyes. Even Mikey can lie better then that and he's a terrible liar. "I'll tell them you stopped by" she tells him. "I probably shouldn't tell Edward, because he's pretty protective" she states.

"But he's far away isn't he?" he asks her while twirling one of his dreads.

"Why are you here?" she asks him confused.

"I came as a favour to Victoria" he tells her. She looks scared and I hear her heart rate pick up. She obviously knows Victoria and is scared of her. But why? " She asked me to see if you were still under the protection of the Cullens. Victoria feels it's only fair if she kills Edwards mate, giving he killed hers. An eye for an eye" he explains.

"Edward would know who did it! And he'd come after you" she tells him.

"Oh, I don't think he will. After all, how much could you mean to him if he left you here unprotected?" he asks her. "Victoria won't be happy about me killing you. But I can't help myself. You're so mouth-watering" he states as his eyes darken with thirst.

'We have to act now' Aimee mouths to me and I shake my head.

"Please don't. I mean, you helped us" Bella pleads. he appears in front of her stroking her hair reassuringly, shushing her.

"Don't be afraid. I'm doing this out of kindness. Victoria plans on killing you slowly and briefly, where as I'll make it quick. I promise. You will feel nothing" he tells her. She seems to give up and closes her eyes. I signal the other two to get ready. We prepare to attack as I create a fire ball in my hand.

"Edward, I love you" Bella says and I go to throw the fire ball. When we all hear a twig snap. We all look to see a huge black wolf appear.

'Its the wolf pack' Aimee mouths as four more wolves appear. The nomad takes off and four of the wolves follow. While the rusty brown one looks at Bella. When one of his pack members is scent flying. He growls and joins the chase to catch & kill the nomab. Bella runs away.

"What do we do?" Mikey asks me.

"We have to go to town, someone in plain view of humans. The wolves might track us, we need to leave as soon as possible" I tell them. "They won't attack in view of humans though" I state. We race to Forks. We go to the kid playground and start to play on the equipment. Me on the swing, Mikey on the slide and Aimee on the monkey bars.

(Emily's house) Third Persons POV

"Good job Jacob" Jared says patting him on the pack.

"Shame about Bella not being your imprint" Embry states.

"I wish we could of got those other vampires" Paul growls.

"Look we took out the dude with the dreads and his red headed girlfriend is next" Jared tells him.

"Besides, there's no evidence that the others are a threat to the town" Sam states. "It's been nearly two weeks since Jacob shifted because of them. And there have been no attacks in the area" he states.

"Still, they can't be allowed to remain here" Jacob states and the others nod their heads in agreement

"Not much we can do while they hide among humans" Embry states.

"Jared, you and Paul are on patrol until midnight. Embry and I will take over after. Jacob take the night off" Sam instructs. They all nod their heads and enjoy the dinner that Emily made. "Yummy as always" he tells her and kisses her. She smiles kissing him back before going to get her own plate.
