nice to meet you

the wind blew, kissing eunji's rosy cheeks as she walked down the street, making her way to school.

she looked up at the sky and took a deep breath, letting the cold air fill her nostrils. the coldness smells fresh and dewy, expected from the past week of continuous raining.

eunji took a right turn and walked up the steps of the convenience store, walking to the drink aisle as she picked up a can of grape juice. her fingers wrapped around the cold canned drink, slowly feeling like a thousand needles were picking at her skin, making her fingers go numb and hurt.

"hello?" a gentle voice called out from behind her. eunji turns around to the owner of the voice. "y-yes?" eunji replied, unsure as to why he called out to her. he scratches the nape of his neck as he chuckled "you're kinda in my way.". eunji's cheeks heated up immediately as she frantically moved out of the way, "i am so sorry about that."

unfortunately, her backpack collided against the snack display, knocking over many bags of chips and cup noodles. eunji could feel herself start to sweat behind her knees.

"watch out. you don't wanna knock the store down." he laughed, crouching down and picking up as many bags of chips he could and placed them back onto the shelves.

eunji stood still, not knowing what move she was going to embarrass herself with again. her heart palpitated aggressively against her chest as her neck and cheeks felt warm, her hands trembling slightly as she struggled to process the fact that she just embarrassed herself in front of someone she barely knew, simultaneously making a mess in the convenience store.

he extended his arm out, his rugby jumper in hand. "w-what?" eunji questioned, confused as to why he offered her his jumper out of nowhere. "you're trembling, you must be cold." he teased. she chuckled awkwardly, feeling more and more embarrassed by the second. he reached out a little further, prompting her to accept his jumper.

feeling overwhelmed, eunji smiles and her eyes darted around the room, trying to map her way out of the store as quickly as possible. he cocked his head, waiting for her to accept his jumper. eunji looked at him dead in the eye and salutes, "see you later, alligator."

"huh?"

with that, she runs off. well, attempts to; she trips over her shoelaces and knocks down the bottle display by the door. she gets up and shouts out an apology to the worker before pushing the door open and disappearing around the corner.
