"Hey, how's your wounds now that you're human?" Nezuko questioned, sitting down beside Tanjiro on his bed.
"They're healing pretty good."
"That's good! and your research? How's it going with it?"
"Well, I've kind of come to a stop. It's because of this issue I have. Turning into a human had some... effects on me. Negative effects." Tanjiro sighed. He really wished he could continue with his research.
Even Tomioka had began getting in his way. It would occasionally annoy him.
"I hope you'll be able to resume your research soon, nee-chan!" Nezuko smiled. So did Tanjiro, for the first time in a while.

Tanjiro sat down at his research desk. He couldn't dare tell Nezuko the truth. He had been conversating with Muzan more, somehow even when he's a human.
"So~ Told Nezuko about me, have you?"
"No. I haven't."
"Why?"
"She'll be mad. So will Shinobu, or Kocho and Giyuu."
"Why do you even care about Giyuu?"
"Because I love him? I still love him, even though he abuses me."
"Tch. You should forget about him."
"...Maybe- No. Stop trying to manipulate me." Tanjiro thought, 'shutting his mind' off, basically blocking any kind of telepathic attempts.
Tanjiro began his examination of the stone, carefully touching it too. It was incredibly smooth and doesn't seem to be broken anywhere. It seems to have existed over the span of a thousand years, almost like Muzan had been preparing for this.
"Strange."
"Oh, you can continue with your research! That's nice!" Tanjiro flinched.
