**WARNING: This chapter contains intense or not so intense boy on boy action that could cause seizures.(I'm joking it can't... Well maybe) And by action I mean sexual action. So if you don't like said "action" please walk away now.**
After that awkward almost calling him boyfriend moment, I managed to get us up and into the car again. It was still raining and Aster was super quiet, so I figured we should just head home.
Plus I felt like he was avoiding me now, every time I tried to talk to him he blatantly ignored me.
Great job Jude, you just made everything worse. And on his birthday no less.
I put the windshield wipers on and then turned up the music. A little Frank Sinatra never hurt anyone. I glanced at Aster as I was driving. He was just sitting with his arms crossed as he looked out the window.
I felt like an idiot. Oh well, at least I could still give him his gift. I pulled into the driveway of the apartment complex and we both got out.
"I have something for you." I stood in front of him ignoring the rain. He was silent. "Well.. Anyways come on." I pulled him up the steps and soon we were out of the rain and in a warm room.
I quickly ran into my.. Or our room I guess, and grabbed the wrapped up guitar and newly bought iPod I had gotten him. Earlier I had managed to sneak Kristin a text to wrap the gifts while my grandma was chatting with Aster.
I came out of my room and he was still standing there. His eyes lit up when he saw what I was holding. Of course it was wrapped but you could still make out the shape of the guitar.
"T-that's for me?" he looked shocked but his face had a sort of glow to it so I knew that he was happy.
"Yeah," I smiled "and here." I passed him the messily wrapped iPod. "Everyone likes music, and don't worry I put a ton of songs on there for you."
I knew what kind of music he liked by watching him in the car. If he liked a song he would tap his foot to the beat. I was very good at reading people, catching onto their small quirks and slightly noticeable actions. I guess it was good that Aster was put into my care because one of my strengths was noticing and dissecting small details which was all he usually gave me.
"Can I play it?" Aster asked me with a small grin on his face.
It was cute how he was smiling more often lately.
"Mhm, go crazy." It made me happy seeing him show some excitement.
He picked up the guitar and strummed it awkwardly a couple times, fumbling with the strings. Then quickly he caught on and started playing with surprising ease.
~~~After a while of him playing, it was already getting late.
Well, I guess the day was successful enough. And he wasn't avoiding me anymore. I watched as he put the guitar back in the case. He was so gentle with it.
He turned to face me, "I'm kinda tired."
"Oh," I rubbed the back of my head, "All right then. I'm gonna clean up a bit. You go ahead and go to bed."
It was only 8 but I couldn't blame him, it had been a pretty tiring day after all.
After vacuuming the floor and doing some dishes I went into my room to change. Aster was laying in bed under the covers, he looked asleep but I couldn't tell because he was faced away from me.
I checked my phone for any messages then got undressed. I decided to sleep with sweats on tonight because it was still raining and a little chilly outside. After I put them on, I turned off the light and slowly crept into bed.
