"You go on a date with me next Hogsmeade trip," His blue eyes will glitter in the light with mischievousness. This wasn't the first time that he will have attempted to flirt with me or ask me on a date, but every time I will have just brushed it off as either him trying to annoy me or his attempt in getting my answers.
"You must be joking," I will laugh in disbelief. "You just told me that you don't like me, and you're asking me this? You're terrible at pranks."
"I..." Malfoy will seem lost for words for a moment. "You're right, Novak, I should up my game," His usual malicious smirk will return onto his lips. "But until then, I'm going to have to keep bothering you."
"Just shut it Malfoy," I will groan, fed up with the sound of his voice.
"Not until you say yes," Malfoy will raise his blond eyebrows, waiting expectantly.
"Alright class, return to your desks, and begin reviewing! You will have time to study over the break, remember that you have a test the Wednesday you are back!" Flitwick will announce, saving me from responding with a string of unpleasant words.
"Talk to you later, Novak. Think about my offer," Malfoy will say swiftly, before going back to his seat.
I will roll my eyes, walking back towards Hermione. "How'd it go?" She will ask, not too hopeful that it was a good experience.
"Strange," I will summarize. "He told me that he would only leave me alone if I went to Hogsmeade with him."
"Like, for a date?" She will question, as confused as I was. "Again?"
"Yeah," I will nod, shrugging.
"I guess it would make sense if he had a crush on you. You know the saying that if a boy pulls on a girl's pigtails, it means he likes her," Hermione will giggle, forgetting that we were talking about Malfoy.
"Yeah no, I think he was just trying to make fun of me," I will laugh at her excitement. "Plus, he and Harry are obviously rivals, why would he like me? Harry's friend?"
"Whatever you say," She will nod, pulling out her review notes for the chapter we were working on. "We'll see how this turns out."
