The Fight

I will sit down next to Hermione on the couch, as Harry and Ron sit on the opposing side. "What were you thinking about when you spaced out?" Hermione will ask quietly, making sure that the other two couldn't hear. She will give me a look that tells me she already knows what I was thinking about.

"School," I will ask nonchalantly, shrugging.

"School? Or the boys in school?" She will raise her eyebrows. "Specifically one boy in our school? Named Draco Malfoy, perhaps?"

"First of all, there are many boys in this school that I could've been thinking about," I will cross my arms. "Second of all, are you forgetting who we're talking about? Draco Malfoy, our sworn enemy, the one who annoys and bothers us all day long? The Draco Malfoy that is a Slytherin, and only thinks about himself?" I will whisper, angry that she was still rooting for Malfoy.

"Oh, trust me, I still think of him that way, there's very few people who I hate more than him," She will raise her hands in defense. "But now that I know that he could be your first boyfriend? Things are a little different here."

"What's a little different here?" Ron will intrude, overhearing her last sentence.

"Nothing," Hermione will shake her head, not telling him.

"C'mon Hermione, stop having secret conversations," Ron will plead, annoyed that he didn't know what we were talking about. "Daisy?" He will try, seeing that Hermione wasn't going to give up.

"Ron, seriously, it's nothing that concerns either of you," Hermione will cross her arms, starting to become angry.

"I just want to know!" He will defend. "Just tell me, and then I'll stop!"

"None of your business, Ronald!" Hermione will snap. "You don't see Harry nosing around in our conversations!"

Harry will look embarrassed to have been brought up, his eyes darting back and forth between their exchange. "Anyways," He will clear his throat, trying to continue his conversation with Ron.

"I don't know why you always feel entitled to knowing what we're talking about! Just because we're friends doesn't mean that you get to know every single piece of information that I do!" Hermione will continue, her voice rising. I will have a feeling that all this anger wasn't coming only from this dispute, it will seem like she had been bottling it up for some time.

"Okay, Hermione, it's fine," I will try to calm her down, failing to do so.

"You are absolutely ridiculous, Ronald Weasley!" She will storm off to our dorm, leaving her books behind.

"Damn Ron, what did you do to her?" I will turn back towards the two boys, who both had the same wide-eyed expression.

I will follow her to our dorm, thankful that our other dorm mates weren't in the room with us. Hermione will sit sitting at the edge of her bed, deep in thought.

"You okay, 'Mione? You kinda... blew up back there," I will say tentatively, sitting down next to her.

"Yeah, just... tired," She will sigh, rubbing her eyes. 'It's... you know... that time of the month, and Ron has been on my nerves recently, so the two of those things together just- just made me completely snap."

"I get it," I will laugh, putting my arm around her shoulders. "And honestly, Ron deserved it, he was being too nosy."

"Right?" Hermione will smile. "Anyways, about Malfoy."

That was quick. "Enough about Malfoy, I despise him," I will whine, not wanting to hear his name anymore.

"That's what you think," Hermione will smirk, a knowing glint in her brown eyes.

"What are you talking about?" I will scoff. There's no way that there was any chance that I'd date Malfoy.

"You'll see," Hermione will nod, not explaining any further.

"Okay..." I will furrow my brows, unsure of what to respond with.

"All I'm saying is that there could be something more that I didn't see before," She will raise her hands in defense. "Maybe he's a git, well, not maybe, definitely. But there's something about the way he treats you, looks at you..."

"Okay, I think you're just getting so obsessed with the idea of me dating, that you're making things up," I will scoff. Even just the thought of Malfoy will make me want to vomit, but dating him? I will rather die.
