Long Lost Daughter

Brand new job

It was your first day at New Hope Hospital in New York and you couldn't be more excited. You were standing outside waiting to go in and it was very nerve wracking but also exciting. When you walked in you were greeted by Dr. Rodrigo who was going to assign you all to an attending but first he had a speech for you all since it was your first day.

He took you on a tour of the hospital and showed you where everything was. He then took you to the OR gallery and you got to watch a little bit of a brain tumour removal which was pretty cool. After that he told you all the rules of the hospital he was pretty strict about it so you made sure to listen carefully. Before you knew it, it was lunchtime so you and all the other interns went to the cafeteria. A few of the attendings were in there but you didn't talk to them as you were all scared of them. You sat and ate your lunch and just thought about how glad you were that you had achieved this and were able to become a surgeon. You wanted to be a paediatric surgeon but were open to new ideas.

After lunch you finally got assigned to your resident, you really didn't want it to be someone scary as you would have to spend your whole intern year with them. It was someone called Dr. Adams she seemed pretty nice but you would just have to wait and see. Dr. Adams took you and 4 other interns to your attending for the day. She took you to the on call room as that was where she had told the attending to meet you all.

She opened the door and there stood a tall blonde, she had bright blue eyes and a massive smile greeting you all. You were so relieved she looked lovely, once you got a closer look you realised it was the girl that was with who you think is your mother the other day! Her name was Dr. Arizona Robbins chief of peds surgery. You were so excited because you would be able to talk to her and ask her questions about your biological mother and see if it really was her.

She said hello to you and asked your name and you said Y/N Gibson. She asked if she knew you but you just said no as you didn't want to pounce it on her straight away. She took you all to the peds ward as that was her specialty you were also glad that you get Dr. Robbins as you wanted to be a peds surgeon so now you would have more time in this ward. You could see all the kids through the windows they all looked so happy, you had never seen people look so happy in a hospital before.

After she had shown you around the peds ward she decided to take you and show you all around the E.R. as that was probably the most exciting place in the hospital. When you were walking through the E.R. a trauma came in it was two people stuck together by a tree branch. As they went flying past you, you felt the adrenaline rush through your body. You just wanted to help but knew you couldn't because you were just and intern. All you could here was shouting everywhere.
"Page Callie Torres" you heard one say.
Dr. Robbins told us we should probably come hack later as this was quite a big trauma and we should get out their way. Just as you were leaving you notice a girl with curly brown hair run over. As your eyes began to adjust to her you realised it was the women you think is your mother! You couldn't believe it her and her wife worked here! You should've known as it was clearly where you got your smarts from. You couldn't believe your eyes, finally you had found her and you were going to be able to find out if she really is your mum...
