Hello lovies!

I hope everyone is doing fantastic! I am currently knee-deep in college visits and applications plus adjusting to senior year and all the goodie-goodie stuff that comes with that so I've been rather busy trying to get myself in order lol. As soon as the deadline for my college applications hit I should be much more available and able to relax but right now its rather hectic. So I apologize.

But! I have a pretty light next two days before the chaos of this weekend hits so I've decided to take the open time to write a new chapter! We're closing in on the peak of the story guys, got some more angst lined up in the following chapters but most certainly fluff too so don't worry!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy the chapter! :)

The frantic, rattling of keys outside the front door startled Minho from his perch; sprawled across his back on the couch, all four paws in the air, bathing in the sunlight.

Feet shuffled through the door as Chan rattled off hushed curses. Minho sat up, instantly alert as he shifted seamlessly, his midnight tail held stock still.

Shoes flopped against the hardwood and the front door slammed mercilessly. Felix jumped, his spine arching as his tail rose to a point, and he hissed. He'd been snoozing on top of Hyunjin's head, burrowed deep into the brown locks, but now he made frightened eye contact with Minho. He too shifted, mid-jump off Hyunjin's head, and stood at his full height next to Minho in the blink of an eye, his blue hair frazzled and feline eyes shimmering with worry.

Hyunjin and Seungmin remained deeply asleep in the living room as the two cats rushed towards the front door, anxious to check on their pack members.

As they passed the kitchen, Minho caught sight of the clock above the microwave and realized that the others had been gone for far longer than they intended. So long, in fact, that the sky outside had darkened, pretty hues of purple and pink dusting the horizon.

Felix gasped as they rounded into the entrance corridor and drawing Minho's attention, the panther became distinctly aware of the distinct sounds of metal clinking against metal.

Chan was using the safety locks.

Double and triple locking the front door, Chan turned keys and slid bars until they latched into place, firmly securing the eight of them inside their home.

Changbin ran a harsh hand through his hair, only glancing at Felix and Minho before he ushered Jeongin away, out of earshot and towards where Seungmin had popped his head up from behind the back of the couch, clearly roused by the sour smell in the corridor. The youngest's tail was puffed and quivering but he went without complaint, falling silently in Seungmin's waiting arms.

Changbin then attempted to do the same to Jisung, but one look at Minho and the squirrel hybrid had latched himself firmly to the elder's side, shoving his nose into the curve of his neck and inhaling deeply.

"What happened?" Minho asked frantically, though he pet Jisung's head with a tenderness he thought himself incapable of at the moment.

Chan blinked as if he'd just noticed Minho standing there, his eyes clearing of a rose-tinted haze. He exhaled and some of the tension left his shoulders, but his ears remained alert, twitching as if still primed to detect danger.

"We were being tracked. Jisung was spotted." Chan murmured, his eyes dark and angry.

Minho sucked in a harsh breath, feeling lightheaded. Beside him, Felix whimpered, his eyes turning a light blue.
