By the time Hyunjin entered the bedroom, all long legs and a graceful elegance, Felix had succeeded in getting Jisung to laugh approximately seven times(he'd been counting) and felt immensely proud of himself.

Jisung had even begun speaking in full sentences, animatedly chatting with the blue-haired male about sweet nothings, relishing in not having to think about what horrors he'd run from.

Already Felix had discovered that Jisung was also 19, only a day older than Felix, himself. This had excited them both greatly.

He had learned that Jisung particularly liked to be scratched behind his ears, of which Felix had indulged the boy in greatly.

The squirrel hybrid was also easily frightened, most notably of storms and sudden loud noises, and he had a special place in his heart for ice-cream.

Felix had come to know this last piece of information after Jisung had admitted in a heart-breaking confession that he'd only every tasted the sugary treat once when he was six years old, right before his parents had pulled him out of school. It was a double-scooped, vanilla cone and Jisung had spoken so fondly of the memory that Felix promised he'd get him all the ice-cream he wanted.

Hyunjin had waltzed into the room, effectively interrupting Felix and Jisung's enthusiastic discussion of different ice-cream flavors and which ones the squirrel-hybrid might like to try.

Jisung froze the second he caught a whiff of Hyunjin unfamiliar scent. It was sweeter than a usual alpha - heady smoke and pine needles mingling with something inherently sweet, like chocolate - though it still carried an undertone of the typical heavy musk and noticeably belonged to an alpha.

Jisung dove behind Felix, startled by Hyunjin's silent entrance and his intoxicating, yet overwhelming scent. It was the perfect mix to lure prey.

Hyunjin stiffened, stopping in his tracks. His eyes had widened to an almost comical degree as he took a step backwards. His pointy, light grey ears twitched as he played bashfully with his tail. He looked helplessly to Felix.

"Did I scare him?" He whispered cluelessly.

Felix chuckled, gently coaxing a trembling Jisung, whose face was squished into the back of Felix's shirt, from his hidey-hole.

He gestured for Hyunjin to come closer and almost burst out laughing when the husky-hybrid moved so cautiously and exaggerated, he looked like a giant, stiff praying mantis.

When Hyujin was close enough, Felix took his hand and guided him the rest of the way, squeezing reassuringly.

"Jisungie." Felix cooed, "This is Hyunjin. Remember I told you about him? He's the one who gave me Bokie."

Felix gestured to the cat plushie still held tightly in Jisung's arms.

Playfully, Felix rolled his eyes at Hyunjin, tugging the male down so he was sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Getting me a cat plushie." Felix mused with a teasing lilt, "He thinks he's funny."

Hyunjin huffed and crossed his arms across his chest, pouting.
