Mia

I smiled at the sight infront of me. All the De Santis family gathered around the dining table. That's what having a family is like, something i wished to have.

"What are you smiling about?" Alexia remarked, smiling at me. I shook my head, "Nothi—" Axel cut me off by saying, "She was about to have sex with your son there-" He pointed to Alec who smirked at my discomfort.

Alexia glared at Axel, making him shut up instantly. I, on the other hand, was probably blushing at something that wasn't even true. While Alec, kept his gaze fixed on me, not even denying it.

After that, there was a comfortable silence, just the sound of the spoons and forks clicking against the plates. Once i was done eating, i went to my room and took a shower.

Resting my hand on the wall infront of me, i let the water fall on me as continuous thoughts kept running in my mind. I was unable to tell Alec about my grandmother and the one who wants him dead today. Maybe tomorrow.

Turning off the shower, i stepped out of it and wrapped a towel around myself before opening the door. I let out a gasp, my hand automatically gripped my towel tighter, preventing it from falling when i saw a figure sitting on my bed. Lifting his head up, his eyes met mine. A pair of eyes i'd recognise anywhere.

"What the fuck." I hissed, tightening my grip on the towel, "You scared the shit out of me."

He chuckled before walking to me. My eyes widened at the realisation of my scars in display on my back. Not wanting him to see them, i quickly turned around, ready to go inside the bathroom again but unfortunately, he gripped my wrist and turned me back to face him.

"Something's bothering you." He remarked, "Talk to me." I sighed before saying, "Let me go and change first." He nodded and let go of my wrist.

I took a shirt along with a pair of short and went in the bathroom. Once i was done changing, i opened the door and saw him sitting on the bed with my diary in his hand.

My eyes widened as i quickly rushed to him, snatching the diary from his hands.
"Relax," He sighed, "I did not open it." A wave of relief instantly flashed through me. If one day i wanted someone to know everything that's ever happened to me, i would give them the diary or tell them myself. I wouldn't want someone finding out by sneaking through my stuffs.

"Thanks." I gave him a thankful nod before sitting next to him. "So, what is it?" He asked, referring to the thing that's bothering me.

"I have a grandmother and i know where she lives but my father forbade me from meeting her so, he placed about a thousand of guards. Im not strong enough if i go there, they're gonna hurt her or worst, kill her and even me. I need your help, i need to get her back. Please?" I said in one go before sighing heavily. I didn't realise i was crying until he grabbed my face, wiped the tears away. "Of course. We'll get her first thing in the morning."

"Anything else?" He questioned. Sighing i said, "Yes, the Mexicans are the ones who want to kill you." Giving me a curt nod, he left the room without saying another word which was very odd.

I tried closing my eyes, sleeping but i could not. So, i did whatever i do when i can't sleep. Taking out my diary, i started writing;

Dear Diary,

Some interesting things happened today. I was finally free from my father for a while. I don't know for how long though because i know, it won't last. I talked to Alec about my grandmother and he agreed to help me get her to safety.

Now, she will be safe but i also know that none of us will be safe until my father, the source of all out problems dies.

Goodnight.
