987: An entire year spent on the water brought Runof through to thick mist and perilous storms to a large, lush isle draped in permanent sunlight and seas of green. The druid was sure he had found the land of the young as he was greeted by a large crowd of people who looked half his age or even younger, sporting white robes and tunics that reminded him of his father Grom. He used his magic to charm the locals in the audience of the king of the land of the young, a tall and handsome man physically in his prime but he like all his subjects was centuries old in reality.
The king appointed the outside to be his court jester, but soon rose to become chief magician of the land of the young, and chief executioner for the king by trapping criminals and enemies of the crown inside his spirit amulet to be ripped to shreds or die a terrible death. Despite the residents of the isle being unable to age past their physical prime, they could still be injured and killed in the way of those who were immortal to a point. Runof would have many relations, marry many wives more beautiful than even Idia back in Ireland and sire many children before being hand-picked by the king to succeed him when he had grown tired of ruling the land of the young. As Runof was crown king of the land, several of his new subjects came to warn him never to leave, for if he returned to Ireland again, he would certainly die.
