Chapter 1 ~ Second Chance

The girl opened the door of the pizza place, as she ran out the bell on the door chimed. She ran out to catch up to the boy who thought she thought of him as a big brother. EJ was walking towards his car when the girl called out "EJ" and, he turned around with a hurt look on his face to see the girl who he liked a lot or in his words someone who he "digs a lot", he thought to himself "great I don't really know what to say to her right now". The girl shouted out to him "you got bad intel" the boy looked confused and said "what?". The girl said "can I?" nervously as she was about to say something that she was nervous about and didn't even think she would say at this moment of her life.

The boy was looking at her still with a hurt look on his face and said "can you what" in a sad tone while looking away not knowing what the girl he really liked a lot was going to say, the girl said with a big smile on her face "can I kiss you?" the boy looked back at her, shocked at what she just said and he thought "wait what did she just say that?" Gina started speaking again and said "will you be my first kiss?" still with a big smile on her face.

EJ stared at the girl as a huge smile appeared on his face, he was thinking hell yeah I will be your first kiss Gi, the boy's shock and confusion faded away and turned into happiness. He dropped his stuff and started walking towards her, Gina started walking towards him, both of them had huge smiles on their faces. Gina's nervous feeling went away all she felt was happiness as she thought to her self "I'm going to have my first kiss, and with someone I really really like". Gina and EJ started walking faster and faster towards each other then they started to jog towards each other. EJ was thinking about how happy he was at that moment thinking to himself "I'm actually going to kiss her".

They were about two steps away from each other, the boy slowed down walked closer to her while Gina had slowed down. They were only inches apart, EJ cupped Gina's face with his hands and Gina wrapped her arms around the boy's neck. EJ pulled Gina in closing the gap between their lips. As their lips softly were brought into the kiss, Gina's happiness and adrenaline started to take over her as she was kissing the boy back lightly. It was the best feeling she had felt in her life, kissing the boy she really really liked and this being her first kiss. EJ's happiness took over him as he was kissing Gina the girl who he wouldn't have thought to be kissing last semester, which shows how much he has changed. EJ had wanted this feeling for quite a while, this semester he had realised he started to really like Gina and he was now happy to be kissing her at last.

The kiss become more passionate, EJ was happy that he was Gina's first kiss and that she didn't think of him as a big brother at all, which still confused him on why Gina's brother said that. EJ and Gina pulled back from the kiss and smiled at each other. EJ was about to say something when he heard some familiar voices coming from the door to Slices. It was Ashlyn and Nini standing at the door. "OMG!! EJ!!! GINA!!!" Ashlyn said excitedly, Gina and EJ were now both facing Ashlyn and Nini's way who were completely shocked but happy. They both blushed as they realised that they probably saw them kissing outside of Slices. "that was so cute" Nini said still shocked. "wait, how long have you guys been standing there" Gina asked still blushing. The two girls who had been watching EJ and Gina for a while laughed "not that long, but long enough to see that you guys were kissing" Ashlyn said.

The girls smiled as they were staring at EJ and Gina blushing with embarrassment, but still happy that there able to of shared a kiss finally. "finally you guys!!" Nini said with excitement, EJ was thinking about how happy Ash and Nini were for them, then unexpectedly Gina held on to his hand which made EJ blush. "aweeee you guys are so cute" Nini and Ashlyn both said. EJ smiled and then looked at Gina who was also smiling. "do you guys want to come back inside or are you guys going to leave, Mr. Mazzara just admitted something to Miss Jenn and we all overheard it" Nini said while sorta giggling. "yeah I'm just going to put my stuff in my car, just wait there a sec" EJ laughed. "oh, I see you kind of just dropped your stuff there" Ashlyn giggled "yeah well um- yeah ahah, I just-" EJ replied nervously, "really wanted to kiss Gina?" Ashlyn finished "yeah" EJ said still blushing.

Once EJ had put his stuff in the car EJ and Gina walked to the door, but on the way, the rest of their friends were looking through the window and smiling at EJ and Gina, which confused EJ but he was too happy to think about it Gina seemed to think they knew something. Nini and Ashlyn were still standing at the door and then they walked inside as Gina and EJ got to the door. Gina was happy that she got to kiss EJ she was thinking about how amazing her first kiss was, but once they had walked inside everyone started clapping and cheering and saying stuff like "yess Gina you go girl" and "YES EJ LETS GO, GOOD JOB!!" "YES finalllyyyy".

EJ and Gina looked at each other with confusion and then EJ realised "oh um, did you guys see us?-" EJ asked while his eyes widened and he blushed. Everyone was like "yessss we did, it was really cute", Gina then said "oh, well um okay" as she blushed. EJ whispered a little too loudly to Gina "do you think they know it was your first kiss?".

The room went quiet, Gina blushed and EJ's face turned red with embarrassment and whispered "oops, I think they heard that" still quite loud which meant they heard that as well. Ashlyn and Nini were giggling at what was happening then Kourtney said "wait, no because that's even cuter if it was Gina's first kiss!!!" Seb and Carlos agreed and Carlos said "see EJ I knew she liked you, and you being her first kiss proves it even more that she really likes you" EJ blushed and looked down at the ground and chuckled.

Kourtney sighs and laughs "well it took you guys long enough to confess", "oh shush Kourtney ahah you couldn't even say it to Howie originally" Gina replied, "OH okay- ahahah you don't want to mess with me right now" Kourtney laughed.

"whats are y'all talking about" Miss Jenn asked "umm nothing" Gina said quickly while blushing "Gina honey are you okay" Miss Jenn asked concerned "yup, I am don't worry" Gina replied while still blushing. "okay, well wildcats you guys should probably get headed home soon, I have something fun planned for you all because of your amazing performance and how great you did!!" Miss Jenn explained excitedly. "ahh wonder what we will do" and "omg yess" and "ahh yay" All the excitement was filling the room as they were excited for what Miss Jenn had in store for them the next day.

"Okay I'm going to head off, you guys don't be here for too much longer, don't want you guys tired tomorrow" Miss Jenn said with a smile on her face, everyone was looking at her when Ricky said, "we won't don't worry Miss Jenn we are just going to help clean up here".

Once Miss Jenn had left and Mr. Mazzara ended up leaving as well everyone helped out with cleaning up Slices so it was back to how it's meant to be. They talked about what Miss Jenn may have in store for them and other things like their performance for opening night. Obviously, EJ didn't think he would still be here if Gina hadn't had come out and told him he thought the wrong thing about how she felt about him, but he was happy he was still there with his friends and spending time with them. As for Gina, she was very happy she had her first kiss, with EJ the guy she had liked for a while even though she may have not been quite sure about it.

Once they had finished everyone agreed to all meet up to hang out for a while before they were going to or doing what Miss Jenn had planned as they were assuming it would be around the middle of the day close to lunchtime.

EJ asked if Gina needed a lift home and of course, Gina said yes, Ashlyn as well since Gina and Ashlyn lived together and Big Red also came long because Ricky had left in a hurry for some reason. Gina was expecting many more questions from Ash in the car and of course, she and EJ got asked many questions, but they weren't hard to answer.

EJ had dropped Big Red off. As soon as he reached Ashlyn's house where his cousin and his girlfriend? Had they made it official? He had no clue. Gina and Ashlyn took off their belts and Gina leaned in to kiss EJ for the last time before going inside. "aww you guys" Ashlyn said with a smile on her face as EJ and Gina giggled, as well as that making EJ blush. Did EJ have his answer now? Did that mean they were official? He didn't want to ask Gina because that in his opinion is kind of awkward so he decided to wait till tomorrow for more answers. Little did EJ know Gina had no clue what they were either so she also decided to wait for more answers. But they were both happy they got their second chance.
