Please read!!!!!! So in this chapter I kinda cross into greek mythology. It's not fully accurate!!! Just bending and twisting it to fit the story line :)

I don't own the original rights to some of the gods mentioned. Please vote! And leave a comment if you are enjoying..I'll upload the other chapters if so.

The sky was a burnt orange, matching the sour taste on my tongue. Azrael drove in silence. I asked him to stop explaining, to take me somewhere else. Somewhere I could throw up without feeling bad about ruining a nice car. Somewhere I could get more then five feet away from him.

Suddenly we stopped in front of a small office building in the middle of town, I ranked my memory trying to remember this office ever being here but failed.

Azrael opened his door in silence and got out, I reached for my handle to open the door but it flew open before I touched it, Azrael stood a few feet away from the car a small smile on his face, I tried to return it but failed miserably.

He held the office door open for me and we strolled in, a small girl glanced up from the front desk and nodded at us before returning to her computer. What was this place?

Azrael led me to a small black door, with a simple symbol I'd never seen on it. He paused and spun on his heel staring at me.

"This might surprise you"
He pushed the small door open, and we walked pass the threshold, we entered not a room, but a massive indoor garden. It was beautiful, high archways over looked a stoned rimmed pond, I stepped closer and saw my own reflection staring back at me from crystal clear water below. Ivy covered in small white flowers grew up the high walls, and grows along all the archways.

Azrael gently took my hand and his and weaved us through the garden, glancing back at me every so often before we came to another door, with a symbol I knew, a skull.

He pushed the door open without word this time and pulled me inside, we were in what appeared to be a small dome, a vast screen stretch out along the wall, scattered with hundreds of small monitors. I stepped closer to the wall and focused on a few of the different imagines. Men and women went on with their everyday life's - drinking coffee, changing diapers, eating ice cream at the park, waiting in line at a gas station.

Azrael suddenly snapped his fingers and the screens dimmed, making it harder for me to see the imagines.

"What is this place?" I spun in a circle and saw even more screens behind me on the wall.

"This is my office Luna." He leaned back into a chair I hadn't noticed when entering. "I watch all day for the souls I'm going to collect to be ready."

"Why do you need to watch them? Don't you just...know already?"

He chuckled and ran his fingers through his hair.

"No it's not really like that. I do know how everyone will die. Monitoring them is just necessary, everyone usually ends up in the right place at the right time, but unfortunately not even fate can always predict human behavior."

He stood and reached out to me again,

"We can go to my lounge, it's a little more comfortable."

He led me to a smaller room, with a few couches and portraits along the walls. I studied the photos in awe, breathing taking men and women were stretched along the walls, other God's and goddess no doubt, I recognized a few from mythology, some of our paintings were spot on.

I stopped in front of one painting and gasped. It was me, but it wasn't me I looked different older from a different era. My hair was dark, still in wild curls but darker than the night sky. But every other feature was there. My slim nose, full lips, fat rounded cheeks. I read the title under the painting 'Nadine'.

"This is her?" I looked back at Azrael, "me I guess? You weren't lying" my hand reached out to touch my curls, "our hair.."

Azrael smiled at this, stepping closer to me his eyes lost in deep thought.

"Nadine, always wanted her hair "as light as snow' I told her she looked better with it dark, but I was wrong." Heat rose to my cheeks and my stomach flopped.

"Is that why I can see death? Because I'm a reincarnation?"

His brows pulled together and his lips formed a straight line.

"Nadine was mortal, nothing more or less. She didn't have visions. You are what we call, A guide still human, just more powerful." He rubbed his hands together slowly "Some of you see death, some see souls roaming, some hear voices and go crazy." He chuckled and shook his head "and all it means? Is someone in one of your past life's pissed off someone powerful."

He sat on the small couch and covered his face with his hands. I slowly sat beside him, chewing on my inner cheek I waited for him to finish.

"But I didn't go to just any powerful being Luna, I went to Circe an enchantress " he paused for a moment before clearing his throat "she is the daughter of Helios, her mother was believed to be Aeetes, who wasn't to kind to young Circe...A few hundred years ago Circe discovered the truth, her mother was a sea nymph who Aeetes had captive for years." He sat forward in his seat "Once she found out Circe turned her wicked stepmother into a rodent and gifted it to her father for his snake."

"She had her father feed his wife to a snake?!" My eyes widened. I knew that betrayal like that would be incredibly hurtful..but that seemed extreme.

"Yes, so her father had my father banish her to the deepest depths. I felt pity for her, and adjusted alot for her making the camber much more comfortable than others," his face formed a deep frown "but she became bitter to me aswell after a few decades of her being captive so she cursed me when I asked for a favor."

"By having Nadine reborn? Atleast she didn't turn you into a four legged meal" his eyes darked and his jaw clenched.

"No something far worse then just having Nadine reborn" he looked at me briefly before continuing. "she had Nadine reborn into you, but with you being born . My life is now connected to yours. If you die, I die." I went to speak but he cut me off

"My father is growing weaker everyday, we are immortal but still at some point we became weaker than others, he wants me to take over the realms. But now I have a weakness. You Luna. And my father is refusing to ignore it, if someone wanted me dead they could just easily kill you." His hand found mine, and I welcomed the warmth from his palm as my body went cold. Things and people I didn't even know about were trying to kill me. All to get to Azrael.

Suddenly my heart hurt at the thought of anything happening to Azrael, I glanced at him and caught a glimpse of someone else at first, no not someone else, it was him but younger. Smiling, the light hitting his eyes and dimple perfectly, he leaned towards me before the vision faded.

What was that? Was that a memory or was I finally losing it.

Azrael POV. (sorry for switching I couldn't write the conversation how I wanted for this information..)

I stared over at Luna, watching her as her eyes switched emotions like a firecracker, fear, love, wonder, happiness, fear again.

My fathers words replayed in my head like a broken record.

"Another human will replace her my son, but she won't be mortal, not pre say. She will be special something only whispered about in the most sacred scrolls..she will have Nadine's looks, her heart her determination and her spirit, you must find this girl Azrael as she is now your life source. Inform her of her duty to the circle of life, and protect her."

But that wasn't all.

"She will not remember you, she will not know of the past at first, maybe not ever. But you must and I cannot stress this enough, birth a heir from her loins, for the legacy of the Grim rest in you doing so."

Without luna, my race and name would die with me. Without Luna the world's souls would be forever trapped in a 'grey' area of misery. Never crossing to paradise or hell.

I wouldn't fail the world, or my Father.
