As I was glaring at him, he noticed it and glared back at me.
I got slightly startled but couldn't get my eyes off him for some reason.
He gave me an innocent smile and slowly smirked.
That made me blush so I looked away from him.
"I-I can't make a move, not today!" I snapped at Katie.
"Oh come on, girl. Have some confidence in yourself!" she softly patted my shoulder as I looked down shyly.
"Aish, fine. But I said, not today..some other time when I'm actually confident."
She chuckled.
"'Some other time'," she imitated me. "As if that'll ever happen."
I rolled my eyes.
"Just watch..I'll prove you wrong," I smiled proudly.
"Sure sure, let's see."
I did promise her to do it but I'm doubtful about myself. Will I be able to do it? Wait! What if he makes a move before me? You never know lol
-After School-
I bid Goodbye to Katie and boarded the bus.
I can't make a move...I just cannot. I mean he's the one who kissed me, so technically he should make a move, right?
I fiddled through my fingers and bit my lip thinking about it.
"Hey! You're Melissa, right?"
I turned my head and followed the direction of the voice.
"Uh, yeah I am!" I smiled.
"If I'm not wrong, this guy— Uh..Jason—"
My heart started racing. I guess I knew what they were going to say.
"He kissed you, right? At school."
I gulped hard and was frozen.
"Uh, I..um y-yeah but—" I struggled to speak.
"I knew it!!" the person cheered.
"But why are you asking me this? And how do you know about it?"
"You're asking how I know about it? Girl, everyone in the school knows about it. I guess you've been asked about it for the first time." they teased me.
"Oh!"
"So you guys are dating I suppose."
"N-not yet actually."
"Wait how? Why not? You guys kissed!"
"I don't know to be honest, but we're not dating yet"
"Hah, I think you hiding it from me. Don't worry, you can't fool me. I know you guys are dating."
Before I could say anything to them, they got up and got off the bus.
I sighed.
Everyone knows about this. Ugh. I'm so embarrassed.
I covered my face with my hands and closed my eyes hard.
"M-Melissa!" someone called me again.
"Ye—?" I turned my head once again and was shook.
He got up and walked close to me.
My eyes widened.
He brought his face close to my ears and whispered.
"Our stop's come."
I sighed once again in disappointment because I had expected something else from him. Never mind.
"Yeah!" I snapped softly and got up too.
We walked through the other seats.
Unexpectedly, the bus faced some issue that time and it suddenly jerked forward.
I lost my balance and began to fall back.
I thought I'd fall entirely but Jason turned back towards me and held my hand tightly.
I fell chills through my body the moment he held my hand.
He pulled me back and I fell on his chest. My hands were on his chest and I could feel his heartbeat.
It was racing.
