Shane was at home in his room when he received the call from Jeremy. The first words out of the boy's mouth were not what he had expected to hear, especially since all he wanted was to spend so much time with him.

"So, I've been thinking about going back to LA for a bit," the boy said.

"Oh?" He was surprised. Jeremy hadn't mentioned this to him before. "For how long?" Shane questioned, his voice suddenly soft and vulnerable.

"Not very long. Just for the weekend, I guess?"

Shane's shoulders slumped in relief. For a moment there, he had thought that Jeremy meant he was moving back to California and leaving Angel Falls for good.

"That's good," he sighed, laughing silently. "I thought you meant you were leaving."

"I can't exactly leave without you, can I?" Laughed Jeremy.

"Of course not," said Shane. "I'll haunt your dreams if you do," he stated and the two of them laughed.

"Can I come over then? I want to spend time with you before you go," Shane stated and Jeremy agreed. Within thirty minutes, Shane had walked the distance to Karla's diner and was at Jeremy's door with food in hand, knocking to enter.

When Jeremy opened the door, he was delighted to see Shane standing at the other side with a smile directed at him. The brown eyed boy held a box of pizza in hand on which a brown paper bag rested.

"I come bearing food," he announced and Jeremy chuckled. The tall boy walked two steps to him and bent slightly to press his lips against Shane's.

"You're amazing," he said, making the boy blush before the two of them walked into the apartment.

Although Jeremy was traveling the next morning, the two boys didn't allow their entire night to be filled with conversations about how much they'll miss each other, but rather, they made sure to enjoy each other's presence to the fullest.

"I know I promised not to stalk your Instagram, but, I couldn't help checking the latest post," Shane said after a while. "Have you seen what people are saying?"

"That I have a boyfriend?" Jeremy asked with a chuckle. He got up from the couch to take his phone from his bedroom. Jeremy logged into Twitter and showed Shane some of the tweets he had read earlier.

"Yeah," Shane stated. "It's kinda funny how some of them are right about you spending time with a mysterious boy," he said.

"I know, right?"
