I had plans for this chapter... and they did not include a flashback! XD Oops haha I enjoy writing the third years interacting so much and couldn't neglect sharing the scene I saw in my head with you guys! Hopefully it brings you some entertainment, thank you so much for continuing to follow this story, I am so thankful for each of you, stay healthy!
"What the hell, that guy is a total piece of trash! He deserves more than losing his memory, throw his ass to the baslekiss, Harry!"
Putting a finger to his lips, Asahi shushed Noya for probably the twentieth time. "Shh, you're going to wake Daichi and Suga... Do you mean basilisk?"
Frustrated, Noya crossed his arms and settled his agitated stare on the movie playing, and scowled. "Yeah, however you say it. They should let that talking snake bite Lockhart's head off, it's not like he's good for anything."
Asahi gave a reluctant smile, the liberos' simple logic never ceased to surprise him.
"Yeah," Tanaka interjected, "But if they do that everyone else is just gonna say it's their fault or something, right? They'd be better off dragging him to Dumbledor and making him fess up."
"Yeah, I guess." Noya muttered, clearly unsatisfied.
After Suga had fallen asleep, Daichi suggested they watch a movie while they wait for someone else to get home. They'd all agreed, but then found the Sugawara's had an extreme lack of DVDs. Remembering the small collection his friend kept in his room, Daichi sent Asahi upstairs to Suga's desk to fetch something they could all watch. He was intrigued to see Suga's tastes were of the sci-fi variety, the small compilation consisting of Star Wars, The Matrix, and a few conspiracy theory documentaries. The ace doubted the second years would be able to get into such convoluted plots, so he was relieved to find the Harry Potter series at the bottom of the stack. Now that he thought back on it, he did recall the setter's fixation on Hogwarts houses a few weeks prior, making both him and Daichi take online quizzes to see where they fit in.
"Come on, aren't you guys curious at all? We did it as an exercise in Moral Studies and it got me thinking. I want to see what you two get."
"Hmm." Daichi blinked as he chewed and scrolled through his texts to click on the link Suga had sent him. The three were eating lunch together on the roof of the school. They were sitting in a loose circle with their bento boxes in the middle. "I find it hard to believe Nakagawa Sensei would spend class time researching Harry Potter houses. Whose idea was it really?"
Rolling his eyes, Suga sighed with impatience and crossed his arms. "Okay, it wasn't during class so much as it was a conversation during free period."
"Aha."
"Shut up and take the quiz."
Daichi chuckled. "I am I am, calm down. What am I supposed to click on, this?"
Scooting closer to see his screen, Suga nodded. "Yeah, you have to answer thirty questions."
"Thirty? Isn't that kind of excessive?" Asahi complained, cleaning his face with a napkin before balling it up and tossing it in his empty bento.
"They aren't difficult. Come on, you do it too. It can tell you a lot about your character, it's fun."
"Fun..." Asahi muttered, picking his phone up from beside him and navigating to the text from Suga. "Did you take it already?"
"Of course."
"What did you get?"
Puffing his chest out and flashing a toothy grin, Sugawara jabbed a thumb at his chest. "I'm a Slytherin."
