Chapter 1

The night was silent in the woods. The only sound Aika hears is her breathing which she was having a hard time regulating after waking up from a long sleep, feeling like she was saved from drowning. 

Right upfront her there's a shattered mirror. Even in the dark, she could easily see herself in it. She took the breathing device that was connected to her quite fast. Moving, standing up, and walking seemed almost impossible to do like all of her body was trembling.

Suddenly the door opened and there he was standing, Itachi Uchiha. Aika's eyes filled with tears, not from frightening but from relief. Her trembling slowed down and her heartbeat reduced. Yet there was certainly something different about him that surprised Aika.

"Itachi"

"You are finally awake, how are you fee..?"

"How many months have I been asleep?"

"Aika...", he paused "years, 8 years"

"Turn on the lights right now!" and that's what he did...

Well, that certainly shocked her. Not the fact that she was asleep for so many years, but how she didn't age a lot, besides the fact that Itachi aged like a normal person would.

She had a long gaze on her features, her body, nothing significantly changed. As if a portion of time was stopped. She was looking a bit older than a 16-year-old would, approximately the same way she last saw herself.

"Can you use chakra?" was the first question Itachi asked her after some long pause.

And that's when things hit her, her surprised expression changed into an emotionless one for a second, she bit her lip and turned to face him with a sweet smile, "I don't think".

Itachi nodded and exceeded the room. The sun was getting up, while he opened the packs of meals he brought for him, only to offer it all to her, which she accepted.

"Don't worry Itachi, from now on I will stay here and take care of you whenever you come and..."

"You need to go to Sound village"

"Wha"

"It's too dangerous to stay with me"

"No place is safer for me you know that"

"Aika... stop arguing and listen, dangerous times are ahead, in the sound village you will have a protection guaranteed, your brother Haku is Solikage there, also I heard he is badly ill..."

There was a long pause...

"You promised to take care of everything Itachi, now you... You aren't even gonna ask abo.."

"I don't think you have a certain answer, you should really go as fast as you can, to reach till midnight, .... Next time when we meet we will figure things out", that was the last thing he said before leaving through the door and disappearing.
