Naruto was giving Aika a piggyback. Though he wasn't seeing her face he could feel how weak she was. She didn't utter any word after they left hokage's office. Was probably in her own thoughts.
She was hugging Naruto tightly, as if she was afraid he would drop him. While Naruto, of course, was thinking how to make sure not to hurt her as she was wounded earlier.
When he brought her into his apartment, he tried to softly put her on the ground. She landed with a light sigh.
"I am sorry"
"You already said that but you shouldn't be", she replied, "It's not your fault"
"I know but still"
She was staying still, not even looking at Naruto.
"Aika, I think you should treat your wound a bit", Aika almost forgot about it as she had so much on her mind.
"Can I clean it up in the bathroom if you don't mind?"
"Now it's a shared place, you don't have to ask me, please use whatever you want and however you need, I will bring clean towels for you and will see whether I have some new clothes I can give you, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable and stay in a bloody ones", Naruto said rushed and almost made Aika smile.
"Just give me a spare shirt for now"
When she got out of the bathroom, having only Naruto's shirt on, he unintentionally stared at her. She looked beautiful before, but now she looked precious and somehow even more stunning with only his big shirt on and her beautiful black hair flowing down.
"Do you find me pretty?"
"I-i didn't mean to stare... I am sorry.."
"You didn't answer" sighed Aika.
"YOU ARE, OF COURSE YOU ARE" exclaimed Naruto which made Aika chuckle a bit. "Oh I already prepared the bed for you, how are your wounds?"
"I will be fine", Aika showed a pretty smile to him.
After a while both were laying on the respective sides of the mattress. He had so many thoughts on his mind.
'why is everyone so cautious of her? what did they meant saying she didn't change throughout the years? if she was once Orochimaru's student does that mean she is a well trained ninja? why is she so weak now? why I feel no negative aura besides her? even the nine-tailed demon warned him...'
For a moment he wished Aika would have been awake to answer some of those questions. But deep in mind he was afraid she wouldn't like him being inquisitive. He will just wait a bit...
