Chapter 5

Aika's body was breathless and weightless in the cage, and even with all the warnings Naruto couldn't feel at ease. She had zero chakra in her and everything seemed so pointless for him. He felt guilt for not prohibiting that. At least, she hasn't had any harm initially, that's for sure.

When they finally all reached to the Konoha gates two guards welcomed them. 

"You can't go through the village with someone in the cage.." 

"is there no way, she is dangerous"

"that would be terrorizing and unsafe for the village" was part of the conversation Naruto heard.

"I will carry her, release her please Yamato sensei, the guards are correct"

"That's too risky", said Yamato sensei but still understood that's the most realistic option now.

That's when Naruto climbed into the cage and waited for Yamato to release Aika's body. He instantly hugged her body with care. She was so cold and her body was trembling. 

Naruto removed his jacket putting on her, thus covering her wounds. She seemed more vulnerable and weaker than before. Much lighter than the time when she fell unconciousness in the Sound Village. So Naruto tried to carry her tighten his grip on her making sure she won't feel any worse. 

"I am so sooo sorry..." said Naruto very quietly to himself. He surely didn't thought she was conscious but he did receive a reply.

"It's alright..." Aika said softly. That made him feel a bit at ease. "just hold me better" was all she said before shutting down. Something in her was ought to trust him. The necklace of Nawaki was providing some support. Somehow she felt safe in his arms even though knowing she is back in Konoha felt like she is in a predator's mouth. 

Making sure she wouldn't be hurt at this point was all Naruto cared for. He knew one thing for sure is that he doesn't want her ever feel any pain again.

"Oh my...", shock was all over Tsunade's face when she saw her. "quickly lay her here, why did you do this to her"

After I put Aika's body on the couch, Tsunade instantly worked on her wounds. Color came back on her face. 

"Anbu instructed, that she is dangerous. I couldn't risk with anything hokage", was Yamato's answer.

"total crap, she is dangerous yes, but what we shouldn't do is anger or provoke her"

"but she.."

"I can see, yet still, from now on anyone who tries to harm her will take all the consequences", sighed Tsunade, finishing the healing technique on Aika, "Aika can you hear me?"

Aika blinked and nodded "are you feeling better? now you are safe"

"Tsunade... let me go back to Sound village"

"you know we have a lot to discuss, I promise you won't be sentenced but you need to cooperate"

After a moment she continued, "you certainly won't be able to leave  Konoha as of now. Do you have any idea how many things are unclear now with your sudden appearance? I advise you to not resist and stay here for a while. Dangerous times have come now, and seeing you like this makes me think you need a helping hand as well"

Aika nodded. One thing for sure she shouldn't argue, she hasn't done anything bad and has zero intentions to. Even though she can certainly sense the suspicious eyes in the room scanning her. 

"You can stay in Nara's mansion. Uncle Asuma and your aunt Yoshino inherited it from the third hokage" Tsunade once again took a moment and then continued, "as a grandkid you.."

"Grandpa hokage hated me do you want him to turn upside down in a grave?" Aika said half joking half serious, "besides, I don't trust any of you here, only him", she pointed at Naruto. "I will stay only with him, if he agrees of course"

A loud silence followed. 

"She can stay with me grandma Tsunade" said Naruto.

"Aika...", Tsunade looked at her, she hasn't changed even a bit throughout years and right now she can't sense any chakra coming out of her. She is powerless now, not sure how and surely it's not something Aika would tell easily but it was safe to assume Aika was a terrified rabbit in a cage now with no power at all.

Yet, somehow she still was terrifying to Tsunade. Letting Aika, an almost demon who was once buried but is alive, stay with Naruto is easily the riskiest and dumbest decision.
