Chapter 3

Chapter 3:

Once Aika stepped out of Haku's room she had to open the window and breathe some fresh air and think about her new discovery. 'Ninjas from other villages aren't allowed here but he somehow entered, and not only entered but also decided to help me out... Should have guessed he was not from here as he didn't know this was the palace...' She can either let the guards deal with him or risk and ask herself.

Aika sighed and closed the window walking towards the big hall where she left the boy. Through the half-opened door she could see Naruto happily eating one of the fruits he took from the table. When he saw Aika he waved at her and smiled. She approached the table and sat down in front of him and he felt the tension.

"Something happened? Is your brother fine?", he started asking but was interrupted by Aika.

"Naruto, are you a ninja? Why did you come here?"

"Shhhhh", he said asking her to lower her voice, "like a ninja I am not allowed to be here don't expose me please"

"Well tell me the truth then, who are you, where, and why are you here?"

Naruto looked left and right making sure no one was there and started, "I am Naruto, Naruto Uzumaki, from Leaf village, I am on a mission but I have no intentions to harm anyone, I just wanna rescue my friend", he paused, trying to read her emotions.

The nine-tail demon in him made a roar inside his mind, "you fool Naruto, run, she is dangerous", that made him shocked for a second, it was the first time the demon seemed to care for him, but Aika still wasn't doing anything so he just continued.

"Please you have to believe me, I have no bad intentions, at first I was planning to help you and continue with my mission but as you brought me here, in the palace, I thought I can learn something that can help me with my mission"

"What? What's the mission?", she asked calmly.

"The thing is, your dad kidnapped my friend"

"My what?" Aika was taken back by his words.

"Orochimaru..."

"Ahhh", she said, sat back in the chair "he is not my dad"

"What? I thought if Solikage is your brother that means.."

"Orochimaru is just my uncle", she said and there was a pause, the mood in the air became lighter "whom did he kidnap? Someone from the leaf village?"

"My friend Sasuke," said Naruto, and that sentence made Aika freeze.

"Uchiha? Uchiha Sasuke?" Naruto nodded, "He is alive?"

That question surprised Naruto. Almost everyone he and his team met before knew about the last Uchiha alive, Sasuke Uchiha.

"He is, Orochimaru lied to him, gave fake promises of making him stronger, so that Sasuke can kill his brother, but wants his body to stay alive", he paused, "I don't know much, I know he is in danger and I should convince him to return back home"

Well, this wasn't the type of answer Aika expected. Sasuke being alive changed everything for her. She remembers distinctively the night Itachi told her how he killed every Uchiha. It was all a lie. Moreover, Sasuke now wants to kill Itachi. And, why is that? 

"Well, I guess I can help you", Aika said after a long pause... She was conflicted and risking so much yet she felt like she should take the opportunity and meet Sasuke herself.

"But promise me one thing, you will protect me if anything" she said seriously, and Naruto nodded.
