This has no particular Impact on the Story, but the Pack is German and this is a very important Date in Germany.

The 9. November 1989 would be a Day Remus would never forget. Living in Germany, you could not get around the obvious Issue of the Country: It wasn't one Country. A Wall split Germany in two, seperating not only the Muggles, but also the Wizarding World. Crossing the Border without arrising Suspicion had become nearly impossible due to some Wizards supporting the SED to get more Power. Even Remus, who had had no Ties to Germany before moving here, had been drawn into the Process. This was partly due to a Family of his Pack being stuck in the DDR since 1969. Their Children had grown up without knowing their Pack and Relatives, due to the magical Government of the DDR brutaly supressing the Werewolves. They had managed to hide themselves and their three Pups, but it was hard for both Sides. Now, twenty Year later, the whole Pack had somehow squeezed themselves into the House of one of their Muggle Members, a local Policeman with his Family living just at the Edge of a small Comunity. Together, they were staring at the TV as if they could crawl into the Screen. For Months, the News of peacefull Protests in the DDR had kept them on Edge, and now, there had been a Press Conference at 18 o'Clock and they were waiting for the Tagesschau at 20 o'Clock to find out the Outcome. Remus was sitting with the Twins Accalia and Eyolf clinging to him. Anna was leaning on Regulus, their Son Cody between them. Feli was sitting on her Mothers Lap, both Maledicti leaning forward as if they could urge the Moderator to get on the Line faster. The whole Pack was silently begging for a positive Outcome. And then, the Moderator said the Words that felt more wizard than every Spell, Hex or Curse:

"The DDR opend it's Borders."

Silence fell over the Pack, the following Words of the Moderator falling on completely deaf Ears. Then, Regulus gathered the famous Black-Coolness and looked around. The Pack was staring at him, waiting for Orders. Regulus closed his Eyes for a second, then grinned.

"Pack some Food, the Booze and the Firework, Guys. I have a Feeling there'll be some kind of Fete tonight. Bring the Children to the Packhouse and then get ready to jump to Berlin."

The Pack jumped to their Feet, scrambling to get to their Cars or just outside to apparate to their Dens to pack the requested Stuff. Remus followed the leading Family outside, Accalia on his Arms. The Girl had just turned six the last Month, but loved being held and carried by her "Uncle Remus". Both Twins regarded Moony with a Trust and Love that always surprised Remus' Wolf. Now, Accalia wrapped her Arms tightly around Remus' Neck as he turned to apparate back to the graveled Driveway of the Packhouse. Anna apeared next, Eyolf in her Arms. She walked to the Door, Remus on her Heels. A loud Crack anounced Regulus and Kassy arriving, both having their Kids on their Backs. Felixa stayed there, her Legs stuck under her Mothers Arms and her Head burried in Kassy's Hair. Remus could hear her plead to be allowed to come along. Cody jumped to the Ground and pounced up the granite Steps to the big oak Door carved with two howling Wolves under Tolkien-inspired Trees with Crescent Moons on their Branches and a full Moon in the upper Centre of the Door. Remus shook his Head at the Enthusiasm of the Kid and followed the Family into the House. Quickly, they packed a few Things and made sure the Kids were fine with playing in the main Hall. Feli however was allowed to come along. She was nine Years old and unusually responsible for her Age. Their Dufflebags tightly in Hands, the Pack gathered in the Driveway. Wizards helped Muggles to apparate to Berlin. A multitute of Cracks rang through an Alleyway as they landed. Nobody noticed them, as everybody was already buzzing with Excitement. Together, they walked towards the Wall.

Two Hours later, Remus wasn't sure what he was watching. At Places, there were People sobbing and embracing each other and just overall happy-Tears flowing. At other Places, People were throwing a Party. Others would have compared it to the fall of Voldemord, but Remus had been too sick with sorrow to witness that. For a short While, everyone seemed to have forgotten about Differences and Borders. They were hugging and cheering all over. The Pack had dragged Remus into the Party, but he had withdrawn soon after to settle on the Wall itself. It felt like a great Statement to be up here, surrounded by People. Fireworks, both wizard and muggle, exploded above them. Charms and Spells were set off by the Wizards in the Crowd. They were cloaked as Fireworks, bot the Effects weren't concealed. From somewhere, People had gotten Instruments, Flags, Food and Booze. People who had stormed here in too thin Clothing got to borrow Jackets and Cloaks, even wizarding Robes. The People were celebrating their Freedom and re-unification, the finally open Border, dancing in the Streets with Luck. And yet, Remus couldn't feel the same Happiness as the others around. He missed Sirius, he realized after a Moment. He wanted him to be here with him, to relish in this freedom-loving, happy, gratefull Atmosphere, soaking up the Energy released by it. He felt his Wolf whimper for his Mate and slid of the Wall, weaving through the Crowd until he found Kassy. His Instinct drove him to the Relatives of his Mate, seeking for the bit of Comfort they could provide. Kassy watched Feli play with the Kids of those Packmembers who had been trapped in the DDR, dancing to the intermixing Musics and chasing after the little magical Firecrackers the Adults let loose for them. Kassy noticed Remus' desperate Eyes and left the Conversation and watching of Feli to her Brother. They drew back into a Shadow.

"You miss him, hm?", Kassy muttered, the Scent of his Mates Sister calming Moony.

"I want him to be here ...", Remus whispered, trying not to sob, "I want him to share all of this ... he would have loved being Part of this."

He nodded over to the People on the Wall, cheering and celebrating the Victory of Puplic Pressure. Sirius would have loved seeing this, just like James and Lily. The War had done nothing to change the British Ministry, nothing at all. It wouldn't surprise Remus if History would repeat itself sooner or later. And when that happend, he wanted to be as far away from England as possible. Preferably with his Mate. With a Sigh, he leaned against the Wall.

"I just feel like he would love this. It is truly beautiful to see People change their World without any visible Power like Magic. I wish it could have been this Way in England ...."

One of the german Wolves, who was sheltering the two oft them from the Rest of the Crowd, scoffed.

"Englad never had the same Issues as Germany. Our Country has seen changes over all it's History. England has been stagnant since ... I dunno. Way too long. I wonder if your Ministry will learn it at all without being completely burned to the Ground."

Remus nodded with a Sigh and ran a Hand through his dirty blonde Hair. He could feel Moony being restless. Kassy seemed to notice and slowly twisted one Strand of her silver-blonde Hair, a red-golden Feather with a black Tip materializing. Descreetly, she handed it to Remus.

"Hold it to your Chest and think of everything you want to share with Sirius right now. Your Feelings, the Atmosphere, what you want him to feel. I can send it to him, but I don't know how much it'll do."

Remus nodded and pressed the Feather to his Chest. He thought about the Situation, the bright, warm Feeling of Freedom and Victory and the overwhelming Excitement of the People. He send all his Feelings and Impressions to the Feather until it was warm like a Night on the Carpet in Front of the Fireplace and glowed softly like the Flame of a Candle. With shaking Hands, he handed it to Kassy. The Woman with the almost Malfoy-like Haircolor took the golden glowing Feather and softly blew over it. Remus watched in Awe as the Feather disintegrated into Sparks that swirled into the dark, star-filled Night Sky.

"What's going to happen now?", Remus asked, his Voice rough with longing for his Mate.

"It's Magic will carry it over the Sea to Azkaban. It'll keep him warm and safe, for a While. Reggi and I have been doing this for a While now."

Remus nodded and took a deep Breath. He felt a lot better, now that he had been able to, somewhat, share his Feelings with Sirius. Kassy held out her Hand to him.

"Ready again?"

Remus nodded, a soft Smile on his Face. Celebrating this Moment felt fantastic.

"Let's go!"
