Chapter 220: A Ruined Party

"What did you say, Emil?" Zils look at him with widen eyes.

"Aphrodisiac...I have called Emilia here..."

"Who dare to give..."

The Royal Physician exit the Queen's chamber looking conflicted.

"I will mix some sedatives for the Queen."

"Is the Queen?"

The Royal Physician coughed awkwardly.

"Unfortunately it is some strong stimulant she took. I wouldn't suggest strong sedatives...it can trigger addiction like dream grass. The Queen's health is not in prime after the King's death. I will suggest no men enter or approach her room tonight. The Queen said she will hold the best she can tonight..."

"She will be in pain whole night..."

"The sedatives will ease it..."

Emilia approach them half running.

"Emilia, the Queen..." Zils raised her concerns.

"I will see her condition."

Emilia entered the room and close it. The Royal Physician looking at Emil with disbelief.

"You called your sister?"

"Do you have better idea?" Emil debate him back.

"I will prefer the sedatives. This is inappropriate measures..."

Emilia open the door suddenly. She look at them long, trying to find the right words.

"I will stay with the Queen tonight. Emil you will guard here. Send everyone away. The Queen request for utmost secrecy and no telling to Prince Vrag as well!"

"Miss Emilia! I against this! This..."

"You have better way old man? You want to be inside?"

"That's...! I never...!"

"Then go..." Emilia gestured them to leave. "I will not do anything if the sedatives work..."

"Is she in pain?"

"She is quite pale but she said she can still take it...more important think is how come the Queen took aphrodisiac?"

"That's another question need to be answered..."

"Royal Physician, you are needed!"

They all frown at the coming messenger.

"Who is it this time?" The Royal Physician asked in frustration. He rather them to be sick than consuming aphrodisiac.

"Princess Silva asked you to come to the ball. She said her friend is not feeling well..."

"Is this some weird poisoning attempt at the ball?" Emilia feel like laughing now.

"Nobody poison people with aphrodisiac! I will go. Lead the way." The Royal Physician quickly walk with the messenger.

Emil, Emilia and Zils look at each other now.

"Duke Lilla's wine...?" Emil took his guess.

"He served one special glass on the golden tray to Vrag only." Zils recalled her memory. "But he served the same wine to the other guests..."

"What if it's a mistake? What if the wine which is not supposed to be served actually being distributed to the guests?"

"That explain the Queen's condition..." Emilia murmured.

"That means Vrag might drank the aphrodisiac too?" Zils didn't feel comfortable now.

"Most probably Prince Vrag is his target. That bastard tried to use the same way he did with Prince Khiv...to make Prince Vrag bed his daughter..." Emil gritted his teeth. "Unforgivable..."
