Archbishop Roelle give instructions to the lad and the lad nodded in understanding. He went back to the road where they came from.

"Where is he going?"

"He will close the other entrance of this tunnel."

"Close the tunnel? What do you mean?"

"There is a contraption that was built in a way that we will be able to escape without the enemy following us. It will be permanent closure but it will have to be done for now."

"How do you know to find us here?" Garin asked the Archbishop.

"Unknown soldiers searched the Church earlier to check on us. I know something is wrong in the Palace. Hence after they left I immediately come here to see if the Queen will use this tunnel."

"I didn't know about this tunnel but it seems you and mother do..."

"This knowledge is only passed between the Queen and the Archbishop...well...something that has been agreed between me and your father."

"Is it about my father's cousin?"

"He is exiled to Orien but this tunnel is still useful for civil disputes like this. Maybe your father sensed the need since he has three sons."

"We need to go to the pier..."

"Unfortunately that will not be possible...the unknown armies has seized the pier. I have reports that they are capturing Fridden soldiers as we speak..."

"We can't get out of here?" Elena gasped.

"They have closed and guard all entries and exits."

"What should we do? We got nowhere to hide..."

"Don't worry, Miss Elena. I have sent messengers to some people..."

"People?"

"The Church will help you. We might not have army but we will have people to protect us..."

"You will use civilians for protection?" Garin seems concerned.

"I know it didn't sound well but we have no other choice. I doubted the Prince will hurt his own people in his current position but if it turn to the worse..."

"Is that why Hein can't touch the Church?"

Archbishop Roelle smiled.

"The Queen also bestow us the protection..."

Queen Rosalia sighed as she look at the Archbishop. She and her family have great debt to the Church, it's because of the Church's support that she can marry Rowan and become his Queen.

"It is I who is indebted to the Church, Archbishop..."

"Eventhough The Church can give you protection but I must say our power is not enough...we need Prince Edmund's help as soon as possible."

"I have sent message for help to Maranth...but I don't know when Edmund will arrive..."

"You have prepared for this?" Queen Rosalia asked Garin.

"Yes, mother, actually Marley made us carry the pigeons..."

"That Marley...but where is he?! He is the one who gave this idea and then he gone missing when Hein is doing all this...did Marley betray us again?"

"About Master Marley...we might have to anticipate the worst..."

"What do you mean, Archbishop?"

"Most probably Prince Hein has taken care of him first then us..."
