chapter twenty nine

“Please Annabelle, it’s a huge gig for me and I need my good luck charm” Niall whined from beside me.

We were lying on my bed and Niall was trying to persuade me to go to this gig down at the pub, which was apparently going to be huge, but I had loads of coursework that needed doing.

“But I have loads of coursework to do, Niall” I groaned.

“Please, I’m begging you, I’ll even buy you drinks and food if I have to” Niall begged, trying to persuade me to come down.

“Fine, but you’re paying for every drink and some pizza for when we come back here tonight” I muttered before standing up and going to get ready.

“Thankyou so much, it means a lot to me” Niall grinned, coming towards me and picking me up, spinning me around.

“Okay, chill out” I mumbled.

He put me down and I went into the bathroom to take a shower and get ready for tonight. Half an hour later I was done.

Niall was back from his as he had to get ready and he was in a pair of ripped, blacked skinny jeans, a white t-shirt, a black and grey flannel shirt and his white converses.

10 minutes later and we were walking down the street towards the pub.

“So, what are you going to sing today?” I questioned.

“Probably a bit of Ed Sheeran, George Ezra and Sam Smith” Niall answered.

“Oh, my favourite artists” I grinned.

“I don’t know which Sam Smith song to sing though” Niall muttered.

“Oh, it has to be Like I Can, will you sing that one, pretty please?” I practically begged him.

“That’s his latest one isn’t it?” Niall asked.

“Yep” I answered, just as Niall pushed open the door of the pub.

People were either standing around the bar, sitting at the tables around the edges of the room, or standing in front of the stage, listening to the singer who was on.

She had a beautiful voice, one of the most beautiful ones I have ever heard. I wonder if she’s ever been scouted or been on a talent show like Britain’s Got Talent or The X Factor.

Niall pulled me towards the side of the stage, where he placed down his guitar.

“Give it a kiss” Niall beamed as he held his guitar pick out in front of me. I quickly gave it a kiss and Niall pointed to his cheek, wanting me to kiss him.

Just as I was about to kiss his cheek, he turned his face and in the matter of seconds we were kissing. A few minutes later we both pulled away and Niall had the biggest grin on his face.

“Now, that was the best good luck charm I have ever had” he grinned at me.
