THE UNLIKELY FRIEND FOR LIFEPLOTS
Kandri Halcard is a Rebel, Kandri Halcard is the Resistance. Fighting for peace has always flowed through her - it's in her heart, her blood, and in every fiber of her being. For Kandri Halcard comes from a line of fighters and peacekeepers, and how could she be any different from her family? Nothing influences a person more after all...
Kandri Halcard became part of the resistance at birth because her parents and her older sister, Atlas, already were a part of the resistance. Mirale Halcard had been a Jedi of the Old Republic and her husband, Rowan Halcard, had been an amazing mind forging a career in engineering and as a doctor on the front lines. When the Empire came into power, the two had already left behind their lives for hidden ones on Alderaan with their two year old Atlas Halcard.
Then came along Kandri Halcard - a soul built out of stardust and a mind carved out of stars themselves. And although incredible stubborn, nothing could hold Kandri Halcard back.
That is, until Kandri is luckily taken captive alongside her friend (and the person she's secretly protecting) Leia Organa. Kept in the same small cell as the Princess of Alderaan, Kandri's master plan of escape is just about formed when a couple of stormtroopers open the cell door. Of course only after Kandri has punched them both does she discover that they're actually farm-boy Luke Skywalker and nerf-herder Han Solo on a mission to save Leia and now herself. And Kandri, well, she's not sure she'll be able to hold onto her patience long enough to help train Luke Skywalker in the ways of a Jedi. Especially when it turns out he's a little too stubborn and a bit too ignorant to truly know what his linage has gotten him into.
Oh, how is she getting out of this.EXTRA INFORMATION
— The Halcard family is HUGE in the rebellion. Her father is one of the head doctors and a top engineer. Her mother is an intense general, Jedi, and strategist. And her sister was a great Jedi as well as a great agent and undercover soldier
— Atlas was about three years older than Kandri. Atlas began her Jedi training before Kandri could walk and Atlas was Kandri's inspiration all her childhood/teenhood. Atlas worked close with Cassian Andor, but both were killed getting the Death Star plans for the rebellion (aka part1 of the 2book plot)
— Kandri is very much a soldier, she's also very stubborn, bold, and daring
— Kandri is assigned as Leia's bodyguard years before A New Hope due to Leia beginning to go on missions with the resistance and Kandri already having been on several. The two become close (best)friends with all the time they spend together.
— Kandri is taken captive with Leia, and as a highly trained Resistance agent Kandri begins to work a way for them to escape. During said planning Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca have gotten to the prison level and have opened the cell door. Since they're wearing clone armor, Kandri beats them up a bit (read: Han has a black eye in a couple hours and Luke aches)
— Once back at base and the first Death Star has been destroyed, Mirale pulls Kandri aside and tells her that she has chosen Kandri to train the next Skywalker. Kandri doesn't understand why, and her mother gives her a knowing smile and walks away
— Luke knows nothing about the Jedi, the Jedi Order, and the Jedi Code. Kandri tries to teach him the same way her mother trained her but Luke Skywalker begins to test Kandri Halcard's patience
— with the tension that becomes of their training sessions it soon turns into angst and then love. a personal favorite trope of my own: forced partners—tons of angst—subconsciously getting close—near death experience—lovers
— they have a lot of room to slowly fall in love between missions, getting worried when they can't see the other, not even realizing when they become half of the other in a battle
— brain thought: I feel as though at some point Kandri could come face to face with Vader or even Palpatine. Palpatine murdered the Jedi order, forced her parents into hiding, therefore creating the rebellion and the mission that killed her sister. In the original trilogy (and the sequels) we see a lot of the Jedi code disappearing as they feel emotions freely and Kandri is going to rage when she hears that Atlas "got herself killed" (technically Kandri will have no way of knowing that Atlas was on that mission until she returns to the Rebel base)
— please note: Atlas' faceclaim is changeable not her name please!! ALSO - this plot is a 2part plot with Per Aspera: Cassian Andor being the first part (which will be out soon!!)PASSWORDS
what are your thoughts on the sequel trilogy AND if you are accepted to write this plot will you extend Kandri and Luke's story into the sequels?? AND are you willing to write both of the plots??
