Lipstick Stain

"Is she the girl you've had over every night?"
Jack's bold question makes me roll my eyes

"What makes you think I've had a girl over every night?" I try to come off confident so it seems believable

"You know, at first, I thought it was Sam going to see Y/n again, she had the same long brown hair. I noticed she always came by at the same time every night so I went out one night to talk to her. As she was getting out of her car, I realized it wasn't her" Jack leans back into the sofa with a smug look on his face

"What are you trying to say, Jack?" I try to keep my body relaxed so Jack doesn't know what he's doing to me

"Are you cheating on your wife?" I roll my head back and laugh

"No, I'm not Jack" I lock my eyes with Jack's, seeing his eyes darken.

"Daniel, who is she-"

"Holy crap, you're still in love with her"

Jack's body tensed at my words and he shifts in his seat, only confirming my suspicion. His legs shift around before he smiles leaning his head back.

"You're fucking cheating on Y/n with that Skylar chick. Holy shit"

"I think it's best if you leave, Jack" I say quickly before small footsteps start stomping down the stairs

"I think I'll stay" Jack gets comfortable on the sofa, placing a hand on Hunters sleeping body beside him

"Daddy! Mommy wants you!" Theo races his little body into the living room with a large smile

"Okay, you tell mommy I'll be right there with some water for her, okay?" Theo never loses his smile before taking off back up the stairs.

I look back at Jack, seeing him with Hunter now on his lap, swaying him lightly.

"Look Jack, I think it's best if you go, you can come back tomorrow, I just think it's best if Y/n is alone right now"

"And I think it's about time I spent some time with my kids"

*Y/n POV*

"Do you feel better mommy?" Theo lays his head on my shoulder while I comb a hand through his hair

"I'm good baby, thank you for staying with me" I kiss the top of his head as we lay and watch his favourite movie

I lay with Theo for a while longer until I hear two strong male voices, yelling. I can't make out who it is or what they're saying but it starts scaring Theo

"What the... Your uncles must be doing something, I'll be right back, you stay here" I kiss Theo on the forehead before turning his movie up louder to drown out the sounds of the argument.

I close the door to the bedroom once I'm outside and I storm my way down the stairs. The cries of the twins come into ear shot as I make it down the stairs. I stride my way into the living room seeing Daniel and Jack toe to toe, yelling in each other's faces.

"You had your chance! Many times! You didn't tell her, and you aren't going to!" Daniel yells

"Better late than-" Jack turns to see me, "Never" He whispers

"Get out" I push past them, rushing to the twins who are sitting on the floor, clearly upset

"Y/n, I'm sorry" Daniel walks over going to pick up Harper but I shoo him away

"Both of you, get out, come back when whatever this is, is resolved" I scoop up both babies and sit them on the couch with me

"Y/n, this isn't going to be resolved" Jack mumbles under his breath

"Why not?"

"Y/n, I lied" Jack scurries over and squats down in front of me, placing a hand on my knee. "The twins are mine"

"I know-"

"I know I should've told you, I- What? You knew?" Jack looks at me with utter confusion

"Daniel told me after we got married" Jack's head whips in the direction of Daniel who's standing with his arms crossed over his chest

"How did you know?" Jack pushes himself to stand up but stays standing in front of me

"Corbyn told me" Daniel shrugs

"I think I've figured this all out" Jack rubs his hands together. "You told the guys and I that Y/n broke her ankle and had some mysterious illness that you didn't want any of us to catch so we wouldn't come over to see her because you were so mad that the twins are mine and you moved her stuff to the guest room? You've been cheating on Y/n for who knows how long with this Skylar chick-"

"You told him?" I interrupt Jack with pure bitterness that Daniel told Jack about his mistress

"I didn't" Oh.

"He didn't, but thanks for the confirmation"

"If you're right, so am I" Daniel takes a step forward with his jaw clenched hard

"What are you right about?" I whisper, not wanting to get in between them two

"So what if you are?" Jack boosts out confidently

"Get out of my house"

"What's going on?" I stand up with the two babies on my hips

"My kids are here" Jack takes Hunter from my grasp

"Since when were you acting like a father?" Daniel laughs, taking Harper from me now

"If you would've let me, I would've been" Jack defends, and I believe him

"Mommy?" Theo yells from the top of the stairs.

"If either of you, so help me god, yell, bicker or argue in front of Theo, I will kill you" I point back and forth between the two before walking towards the stairs, looking at Theo nervously standing at the top

"It's okay baby, you can come down. It's just Daddy and uncle Jack talking about work things" I wave him down but he seems hesitant, I've never wanted him to feel scared in our own house.

I look back at Daniel and Jack who seem to be watching me carefully. I glare at Daniel, hoping he realizes he fucked up before I look back at Theo. He's sitting on the top step so I walk up the steps and sit beside him.

"What's going on, baby?" I fluff up his short wavy hair

"Is daddy mad at me?" He says lightly which causes Daniels head to whip in our direction

"Of course not baby, why would you think that?" He looks up at Daniel but quickly looks down once he sees him watching

"I broke..." He whispers so quiet I couldn't hear the end

"What did you break, baby? You can tell me, no one will be mad" Daniels face softens once he notices my stern glare. Theo stands up, placing his hand beside my ear before leaning in

"I broke his favourite cup" I smile

"Which one?"

"In the music room"

Daniel takes off from the bottom of the stairs towards his studio. I stand up, picking up Theo and bringing him down the stairs to see Jack still with Hunter in his arms. I place Theo down on the couch.

"Stay with uncle Jack, okay?" Theo nods and Jack sits down beside him.

I walk off and into the studio seeing Daniel checking out all his instruments making sure they're all intact. I walk to his desk picking up a coffee mug that's got a small chip out of the top. The lip stick stain on it makes my heart ache.
