The pavement of the street gave way hacung caved in on the god of thunder that only moments ago was launched in the air having fallen back down at alarming speeds. A alien species of unknown origin was terrorizing the city the surrounding area was being evacuated,but not at a fast enough pace.
Tony Stark flew in the sky blasting at them along with Sam Wilson and at some point Thor while the rest of the team covered the ground. Containing the destruction was proven futile. New York was in pure chaos and in the center of it all stood Eddie Brock and Penny Parker documenting it all unraveling. She held her phone steady as the live broadcasted this attack while simultaneously typing away on the screen writing down what's happening for the paper. "The Avengers are attempting to stop these unearthly beings,but at what cost?" He said as she quickly pans her phone to the Scarlet Witch as swirls of red magic flowed from her hand into building turning the frantic people into puppets as they walked in unison out and into evacuation shuttles. "The cost of having your mind manipulated,by these groups of heros because the can't contain chaos they insue." Eddie said disapproving as the came followed his gaze to the damage all over the area tossed over cars,smoke,uplifted pavements the rumbled as the blonde god freed himself.
The duo reporting team rushed over to ask him questions he was by far the first to let anything slip. "Thor Odinson,do you know what these creatures are? You had knowledge of the first New York attack." The god picked up his hammer and turned towards them not noticing the camera recording and the girl documenting everything. "I do not know of their origin,but this was a long awaited battle I saw coming many moons ago. The power in which this planet holds draws them in like the light of Valhalla to those lost in the fiery of war." His voice said loudly and clear before he went back into the fight Eddie looked at Penny before down at the camera lens. "You've heard it yourself everyone. The world's mightiest heroes knew this was going to happen and didn't warn us,didn't protect us. The Avengers hold the most powerful things and beings on earth is that what draws these aliens here? The threat of this team of gods,assassins,and the greedy really only putting us in more harm then good." All the billions of viewers were hushed this was the only live broadcast and it was world wide everyone was hearing the same thing at the same time.
The ground shook beneath them and the older man grabbed the girl to keep her steady and safe. A large ship came from the sky and the hulk leaped onto it trying to pull it off course. Sadly off course was towards the ground where hundreds still try to escape. The Scarlet Witch let go of her hold on the people and began to retain the ship from it collision course with the help of Iron Man and War Machine who just joined in as Quicksilver continued to rush people out of the vicinity. "I can't hold much longer!" She cried out as she looked physically strained and slowly the swirls of magic seemed to snap like string and the ship crashed into a building. That luckily has been cleared. "We'll have to leave now,but this only goes as a warning. With great power comes great responsibility. And this group of heroes doesn't seem able to control the great power they have...and they are unable to handle the responsibility of protecting the people. I'm Eddie Brock and we're signing off." Penny cuts the camera,but still wrote the draft of the news article they they would have to get posted.
"Come on,kid. Let's get out of here." He threw his arm over her shoulder bringing her infront of his larger fame as Venom cover both of them as the symbiote ran off away from the now calmed scene. "I think that went well~" V said as he ran upon roof tops. "V,you only say that cause you hate the Avengers." The girl said rolling her eyes even though it went unseen as she was encased in darkness. "You're not wrong my smart hatchling,but do not deny you hate them as well." His voice rumbled as they made it to Eddie's apartment building slipping in through the window. "Hates a strong word. I just don't think they do as much as they should. Most of the problems happen because of them. I mean New York attack they had the blue cube, Sovikia..Stark made a murder bot that teamed up with the twins that hated him,and now this attack that the team knew was coming. They're just a very dislikeable group of people." She hummed matter of factually as they symbiote they the pair go retrating into Eddie's body.
It was still the crappy apartment that he's always been in on the worse side of town. Everything inside was nice and borderline expensive now,but he stayed in the small bedroom for one reason only. More bad guys to eat because they never learn to stay the fuck away. When Penny told Ed and V she was bit by a Spider and had weird powers they immediately helped her train and stay out of Shields radar some what. Sure the female Parker loved her godfather Nick,but she didn't trust the people he worked for or with. So training was all V and Eddie's help the father/older brother figures in her life. "Speaking of those heroes how much damage happened to your suit last week? Don't lie because V noticed the duck tape missing." Last week was hell for the girl she was almost literally thrown into the ringer. Doc Oc thought she was Spiderman and went into attack thankfully he realized his mistake after she pulled out a bladed staff and began with lethal attacks. Penny shook her head and pulled her suit out of her bag the letterman jacket was kinda okay nothing patches couldn't fix,but the rest was close to shambles. "We can't sew that." V hummed as he projected from Eddie's shoulder. "Well that my only option don't exactly have money for new supplies." The brunette huffed looking at the slashes measuring them out. "Hey! I pay you,Pen. You're not broke." He defended as the black symbiote looked at him with a harsh glare. "I go to school,job number one then you, then job number three and then my nightshift, that's six subway stops to and from. I also pay for extra food for myself since I give Pete my portions to not seem suspicious. And weekly repairs of my glasses and skateboard that's seen better days."
The older male blinked at her slowly trying to process everything. "Hold up. When did you get a third job?Where the hell is it if you have to take a whole different train." Eddie asked concerned she lied a little that was actually her fourth job,but its only third because she actually had to leave the orphanage instead of working behind her computer. "Rand Enterprise. Sure its not my level of expertise,but I got the job through our work being a woman of the people and all." She smiled at him refusing to their raw journalism of everything and everyone. "So you used your stage name to work there?" Ed said having wandered off to the kitchen for food for the three of them.
The stage name was what the public knew her as when she worked with Eddie given it was borderline dangerous revealing people dirty laundry to the world so Eddie Brock went around with his unnamed assistant who stood behind the camera. "Yes I go by Selina when I'm there I talked to Mr.Rand about the reason I wanted to stay private about my real name and he made sure to keep it out of my employment files." Penny huffed Daniel Rand was a strange man,but thankfully he was understanding enough. "I don't know about this Pen that part of the city is unsafe I know you can handle yourself,but Anti-Heroes like us are attacked by people like the defenders. They don't exactly take kindly to us." Ed said as he scratched the stubble on his face.
The defenders were relatively new and barley had media time,but the fought a organization called the hand which pun not intended had a tight grip over hells kitchen. She didn't tell Eddie or Venom that she was looking into those heros to get the scoop on them since she respected them far more than those Avengers. Ed won't know that she's digging into Matthew Murdock after that first meeting having found an odd connection between him and a masked hero. He won't know for the time being just until she knows for sure. Penny Parker was more transparent with Eddie Brock,but that didn't stop her from withholding information from time to time. She had to keep this under wraps just for awhile it won't be hard just a little secret.

A/n: I changed it to Danny Rand last minute from Jessica Jones because she has alot of secrets and maybe working with a private detective ain't the best idea.
Now Penny is getting involved with the Defenders now...so we've introduced Spn,DCU,and others (people haven't noticed) what a big small world this is.
Next Chapter I promise some more Twin action,but this is a Parker twin story so it's more about the one no one knows so 😛
