He got his headphones situated, and clicked on a song. It was titled, "Heat Waves - Glass Animals". He always wondered what a heat wave was like, as he never really experienced it.

But according to what he heard, he would not love to experience it. It was fine not knowing what its like.

The plane started to take off, and they were comfortablr on their seats. Some of their luggage that contained important stuff were just above them.

Though, Tommy's pills were just right beside them. Inside his mother's purse. And then the flight began.

---

Tommy woke up in cold sweat. What did he just dream of?... Well it was him, but he took off. Just before the ground, he shot awake.

He stood up and excused himself. He then went to the restroom to splash some cold water on his face.

He looked at the time, and asked the flight attendant for a little snack. He went back to his seat and started playint songs through his headphones again.

This time he was playing "Sky Full Of Stars - Coldplay". He hummed to the tone of the song. The nostalgia hits him as it played through his headphones.

He then fell asleep once again.

"Tommy. We're landing soon..."

Tommy was awaken by his mother's shaking. He groaned and sat up properly.

"We are...?"

"Yep! Though it's night right now. Did Clay text you something?"

"Eh, I don't know. I'll check my phone when we get off."

They buckled up and readied for landing. And as soon as that, the plane did land and they arrived to Florida, USA with no problem.

They were both in the airport's lobby, buying drinks and a little bit of snacks. Tommy of coirse got his cold coke and his mother got iced coffee along with a chicken sandwich which Tommy also got.

They were sitting down outside a cafe earing their snacks, while Tommy opened his text messages to check it out.

"Oh! Mum, Clay messaged me."

His mother sipped from her coffee before spesking.

"Oh is that so? What did he say?"

"He said... we should check into a hotel for the night and they'll pick us up at the morning."

His mother finished her sandwich and drank again of her coffee, Tommy jjst finishing uo his sandwich.

"Alright, after we finish our snacks we'll get a cab and head to a near but nice hotel."

Tommt nodded as he finished his sandwich and coke, his mother also finished drinking her iced coffee. They both stood up and grabbed their luggages.

---

"Here are your keys ma'am. Have a great night!"

"Thank you! And you too."

Tommy's mother smiled brightly at the woman at the front desk. They finally arrived at the hotel and just got their room keys.

They took the elevator and pressed the button to the 7th floor. As they stood there on the elevator, Tommy felt uncomfortable. His mom noticed.

"What's wrong Toms?"

Tommy exhaled as he tried to shake off the horrible feeling. But to no avail, he failed. A few seconds later his heart was pounding, he felt as if his heart was pounding out of his chest.

"Tommy... I'm here. There's nothing to be afraid of."

His mom hugged him, as she did she felt him ease uo and she also felt his heart beat become calmer. His breathing went to normal and he was all good.

"Thanks mom."

"It's no problem hunny."

Tommy smiled gently at his mother. He was greatfuk he had such a caring mother. He frowned at the thought that he wasn't able to fully protect her back then. But that was at the past, and the past is meant to be forgotten.

The elevator fibally arrived at their floor. They stepped out of the elevator and went to find their room number. A few minutes of roaming the floor, they finally found their room.

"Room 467. Here we go...!"

His mom said as she proceeded to unlock the door. As she did, a cold sweep of air hit them.

"Oh the A/C was on already."

Tommy smiled, they went in and put the 'Do Not Disturb' sign at the door's handle. They set their luggage just by the small dinner table made to fit 3 to 4 people in.

The room had a 32 inch T.V, which was no problem for them. A fridge, a decent bathroom and 2 separate single beds.

"Alright! It's already 2 a.m so we better head to bed, or do you wanna take a short shower first?"

His mother asked.

"I'll take a short shower so I won't have to later when we leave."

"Tommy you're such a lazy ass"

His mother laughs at his remarks.

"Well you know me mum."

Tommy replies as he got his towel from his luggage and took a short shower, which took only 6 to 13 minutes.

As he got out of the shower, he saw his mom asleep on the bed, looking comfortable as the T.V was on and its volume was low.

He smiled slightly as he shut the T.V off and closed the lights. He tucked himself to bed and slept.
