Tommy wakes up to the sound of the door opening. He sat up and rubbed his eyes and stretched his limbs afterwards. He looked towards the door to see his mother about to leave the room.

"Mum?"

His mom stops and looks at him for a second, then smiled.

"Good morning Tommy. I'm going out to buy us some lunch before we leave to Clay's house."

Tommy smiled slightly as he nodded, still half asleep. His mom waved a small goodbye and a kiss as she closed the door behind her. A click was heard, signaling the door was locked.

Tommy got up and drank some water they had yesterday which they put at the fridge to cool.

He did not want to drink from the tap, he doesn't trust the water coming from it yet. He doesn't feel like it's drinkable.

As he finished drinking water, he decided to take another shower. He was joking about last night and wanted to take a shower.

He got his towel once again and proceeded to enter the bathroom. There, he brushed his teeth and did his business.

———

As he finished his business, he came out of the bathroom with a dark red hoodie that was a little big for him. He also wore sweats and his sneakers.

When he did come out of the bathroom, his mother was already there sitting down at the dining table watching something on the T.V.

"Hey mum, good morning."

"Good morning Toms. Have you texted Clay which hotel we stayed in?"

Tommy smiled nervously as he took out his phone to do exactly what his mom just told him.

He sent the text and he sat his phone right at the bed he slept in. He then sat down at the table with his mother.

"What's this?"

Tommy asks as he took a look at the meal right infront of them. His mother giggled as she started to say what it was.

"It's bacon and eggs Tommy."

Tommy mouthed an 'oh' before eating his brunch. As he did, his mom sat there smiling as she watched the T.V and glancing at her eating son from time to time.

"Hey mum?"

Tommy says as he got his mother's attention.

"Yes Tommy?"

His mum replied. Tommy drank his water as he finished eating.

"Why did you come with me?"

Tommy asks. His mother looked as if she knew he would ask it sooner, and so she knew what she would answer to her son.

"Tommy, I care and worry about you. You're going on another country and I'm scared for you. I'm scared that you won't come back home after. Might as well get to know your friends."

She finished explaining. He smiled teary eyed. She cared and Tommy knows that know. Not a 50%, not a 70%, and definitely not a 90% anymore. He was sure, 100% sure.

"I love you mum."

"I love you too Tommy."

———

"So we'll share a room?"

"Tommy, you know you don't have to."

"But I want to. >:("

Tommy's mom sighed as she talked with Tommy about room arrangements.

"You know what, alright. We'll share for a week, then you'll share with your friends. I want you to have fun Tommy."
