I hadn't felt this nervous in a long time. My father doesn't usually deal with matters like this... I generally would've been okay with him leaving, but it wasn't like usual. He normally had Sanha stay with me. Rocky only stays when things get potentially dangerous.

He hasn't mentioned the safe room since I was ten, there and then things that happened then... I never wanna relive those days.

My father was never one to show emotions, other than anger really, but I could always read past it. Right now he wanted to be strong for me, but I can tell he's worried... I am too.

Who knows what that enemy of theirs could do? What if it's a ridiculous amount of money, or a part of our territory? What will he do then?

Knowing my father, he will have done anything and everything he could before giving up, he'll most definitely try to stop them, but when that fails, will they automatically bomb the borders?..

"Hey Eun, are you listening?" Rocky placed a warm hand to my cheek, gaining my attention as I sighed. "Sorry Rocky, I zoned out a bit."

'That's okay. I just wanted to say, don't worry about your dad. He's been doing this since he was your age. He can handle it." He smiled, patting my shoulder as he gestured for me to leave the study. "Go change, wear something more comfortable. We're gonna be here awhile."

Rocky had fallen asleep on the couch about an hour ago but I couldn't sleep. I was determined to stay awake.

Eventually, after countless moments of staring at a wall, his phone started ringing. I wasted no time in answering it.

Hello?

"Who is this?" I didn't recognize the voice. It gave me shivers...

You don't recognize my voice huh? Your future classmate?

"Who the fuck is this?" I asked again, this time I was more adamant.

Whoever you want me to be..

"I'm gonna hang up.. "

If you hang up right now your father will be blown to pieces.

"Please no! I won't hang up I promise. Just tell me what you want!"

I want your father to pay me 3 million dollars. If I don't get it by midnight I'm going to murder you Eunji.

Apparently my frantic yelling woke up Rocky because he was now staring at me.

I didn't know what to do at this point. I couldn't hang up, but I also needed to get a message to my father.

"How am I supposed to get it to you?"

Through your bodyguard. Not Rocky though, I want the younger one. Can't have Rocky thinking of anything.

"Eun? Who is that? What's going on?" Rocky asked, grabbing my hand as I sighed.

"I'll get it to you... Just please don't hurt anyone."

"What did they say? Please don't cry... " He cupped her cheeks, making her look at him as he sighed. "Calm down.. It's okay, just explain to me."
