Ashley's POV

October 7, 2020

9:45 PM

We had arrived at the apartment. Everything looked so clean, untouched. Giovanna took my bag and showed me to my room.

I had my own small space. I say small because it was. I was reliving my college years, thrown back to my dorm room. Oh well, I was just grateful to not be on the streets.

"Hey, I'm gonna order a pizza, you guys want something?" Chaeli asked.

Giovanna bounced over excitedly to look at the menu. I hardly even heard the two's orders. I was too focused on getting unpacked. I honestly just wanted to take the nap of a lifetime. My fantasies of a nice warm bed were cut short by the sound of Chaeli's voice.

"What about you Ashley?"

"Hm? Oh, uh no I am good. My stomach is kind of upset."

"Okay!" Giovanna grinned, "Let us know if you want anything. We are also going to watch a movie, feel free to join."

I nodded, putting on my best smile, "Thanks. Maybe in a bit."

They left my room, I heard as Chaeli ordered the pizza.

As I unpacked I began to wonder how the hell I even got here. My life was set to a basic schedule, a mundane record stuck on loop. Pondering this seemed to help me unpack faster. I finished before I even realized.

I sighed, standing to go change into my pajamas for the night. After changing I felt that I should go bond with my new roommates before bed. I walked out and heard a knock at the door.

Giovanna smiled, "That must be the pizza! Can you get that? We already paid on the website so you just have to grab it."

"Yeah sure." It was the least I could do.

I headed towards the door, opening it to greet the pizza man. I kind of scoffed to myself when I saw no one there.

Okay then. So so funny. Whatever.

I stepped out to take one last look around. I saw a man walking down the hall.

"Excuse me sir?" I knew he had to be the one to knock.

He didn't stop.

I walked towards him, trying again, "Sir? Hello?"

He stopped in his tracks.

"Finally. Why did you kno-"

Did everyone in South Korea have an interrupting problem?

He grabbed my throat, catching me off guard. He lifted his head, our eyes meeting.

I knew that terrifying grin from before, that cold look in his eyes that had shown he had lost his soul long ago.

"Well darling, it didn't take long to find you now did it?"
